Clé à machoires mobiles La présente invention a pour but la réalisation d'une clé à machoires mobiles d'une construction simple alliée à une grande robustesse,et dont les machoires peuvent à tout moment,être calées énergiquement l'une par rapport à l'autre en toute position de serrage désirée.
A cette fin il est prévu suivant l'invention que l'une des machoires comporte au moins deux parties en dépendance de connection et en ce que l'une des parties susdites peut,à volonté,être amenée en ou hors engagement avec un dispositif de blocage prévu sur l'autre mâchoire.
Les dessins sont donnés à simple titre d'exemples. La figure I est une vue de la clé à machoires en position de montage. La figure 2 est une vue montée de la dite clé.
La clé suivant l'invention comporte les machories 2 et 3 embrassées par un étrier de liaison 4.
La machoire mobile 3 est constituée en deux parties,dont l'une forme la machaire proprement dite et dont l'autre 5 accrochée à la première par son bec 6 tend constamment a être éloignée de cette dernière par le ressort 7 qui prend appui d'une part dans une alvéole 8 de la mâchoire proprement dite et d'autre

part sur la face 9 de la pièce 5.
Cette pièce 5 est pourvue sur sa tranche d'une partie lisse 10 prolongée par une denture 12 destinée à coopérer avec une denture analogue 13 portée par la machoire fixe 3,ainsi qu'il sera expliqué ultérieurement.
L'étrier 4 ainsi que la pièce 5 sont traversés de part en part par un tourillon 14 pourvu, d'un plat 15 et qui se termine par un bouton 16 faisant saillie (voir fig. 2) sur une des faces de l'étrier 4.
Ceci étant dit le fonctionnement de la clé suivant l'invention se conçoit aisément : pour serrer l'écrou 17 pincé entre les mâchoires 2 et 3,on amène le bouton 16 dans la position de la fig.2 pour laquelle le plat 15 du tourillon 14 est tourné vers la droite;de cette manière le ressort 7 fait pivoter la pièce 5 (voir flèche fig.2) et amène la denture 12 de cette dernière en prise avec la denture 13 de la machoire 2; les deux machoires étant de ce fait rigidement bloquées l'une par rapport à l'autre et ne pouvant se séparer par glissement on peut alors opérer le serrage de l'écrou susdit en toute sécurité.
Si à ce moment on désire varier l'écartement entre les machoires 2 et 3,il suffit d'amener le bouton 16 dans la position en pointillé;l'action du ressort 7 est alors annihilée et en même temps la denture de la pièce 5 est dégagée totalement (sauf la partie lisse 10) de celle de la mâchoire 2. La machoire mobilé 2 peut alors être déplacée par glissement le long de la mâchoire fixe 3.

This being said, the operation of the wrench according to the invention is easily conceived: to tighten the nut 17 clamped between the jaws 2 and 3, the button 16 is brought to the position of FIG. 2 for which the flat 15 of the journal 14 is turned to the right; in this way the spring 7 rotates the part 5 (see arrow in fig.2) and brings the teeth 12 of the latter into engagement with the teeth 13 of the jaw 2; the two jaws therefore being rigidly blocked relative to each other and not being able to slide apart, it is then possible to tighten the aforesaid nut in complete safety.
If at this time one wishes to vary the distance between the jaws 2 and 3, it suffices to bring the button 16 in the dotted position; the action of the spring 7 is then canceled and at the same time the teeth of the part 5 is completely free (except the smooth part 10) from that of the jaw 2. The mobilé jaw 2 can then be moved by sliding along the fixed jaw 3.
