<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

STORE INTENDED TO CONTAIN A RESERVE OF RECEIPTS IN
BAND FOR A DISPENSER DEVICE.
The object of the present invention is a magazine for containing a supply of receipts stacked and bound together to form a strip to be delivered by a dispensing apparatus.
In accordance with the invention, the magazine comprises a plate subjected to the action of a spring and carrying
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
stacked receipts, a device for separating the remaining receipts from the tray and a pusher manually operated and controlling the tray and giving or. device for separating receipts a back and forth movement to complete the reserve so that the movement of the pusher in one direction lowers the plate against the action of its spring and ensures during this lowering the operation of the device separating the containers from the platform as well when the platform is completely lowered,
it is possible to introduce an additional reserve between the remaining stacked receipts and the tray so that during the discarding of the pusher at its starting point the device for separating the remaining receipts releases the latter after which the pusher releases the tray and allows him to come under the action of his spring to apply the new supplement of receipts against the remaining receipts.
An embodiment of the invention has been shown by way of example in the accompanying drawings:
FIG. 1 represents a receipt dispenser (stamps, tickets, tickets, etc.) seen from the side and showing in detail only what is necessary for the understanding of the invention.
Figure 2 is a section along the line T1 - II of Figure 1,
Figure 3 is a section along the line III - III of Figure 2,
Figures 4 to 9 represent the store on a larger scale at different times of filling, showing the different positions of the movable members, Figures 4, 6 and 8 being side views partially in section, while Figures 5, 7 and 9 are cross-sectional views.
Thus the right part of the figure 0 5
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
is a section along the line Va - Va of FIG. 4 and the left part is a section along the line Vb - Vb; figure 7 is for its right part a section along line VII - VII of figure 6 and its left part is an end view: figure 9 is for its right part a section along line IX - IX of Figure 8 and its left part is a corresponding end view.
FIG. 10 shows in perspective a tool which can be used advantageously for filling the store with a new supply of receipts in strip.
The receipt dispensing apparatus 1 has a footprint that is substantially greater in height and depth than in width and comprises a dispensing device controlled by a sector with perforations for control by fingers. 3 denotes a slot serving for the exit of the distributed receipts before they fall into the depression or sebile 4. At the lower part of the apparatus 1 is the magazine which is the object of the invention.
This store has a frame having in section the shape of a U and fixed to the base 6 of the apparatus; at the upper part of this frame and near the anterior and posterior ends of the magazine, the guide rollers 7 are journaled around the axes on which the oscillating arms 9 are articulated, carrying other guide rollers 8.
The last rollers rest when the magazine is empty on a plate 10 guides in the frame 5 and pushed back when the magazine is bung against the guide rollers 7 under the action of the spring 11. The plate. 10 has in the middle of its length two bolts 12 serving to guide it in the vertical slots 13 of the frame 5.
The plate 10 has at the rear of the apparatus an extension 14 which cooperates with the tutor 15. This
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Feeler 15 is connected by the crankshaft 16 with a jack 17 and a push button 18 ', this hook 17 being connected from its side with the sector 2 as will be explained below.
On the sides of the plate 5 are sometimes hinged by the hinges 18 of the flaps 19 having curved parts 20 and of the guides 21, these flaps being subjected to the action of the springs 22. The curved parts 20 can penetrate by the slots 23 in the side walls of the frame 5.
24 designates a pusher passing on either side of the frame 5 and comprising sliding parts 25 arranged in the vicinity of the flaps 19 and maintaining the bolts 12 on the path shown at 26-27-28-. 26 designates the oblique part of the path separated from the horizontal part 27 of the path disposed near the base of the pusher 24 by a tongue 29 subjected to the action of a spring. Part 28 of the path is directed vertically and limited in the plane of the sliding part 25 and towards the interior of the path, by a part 30 carried by the sliding part 25 via the cross member 31, this part 30 also sergant to limit the element 27 of the path of the inner side and carrying the tongue 29.
When the pusher is fully oourse in the apparatus (Figures 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9), the slot 13 of the frame 5 is in coincidence with the vertical part 28 of the path of the bolts while the plate 12 is located. , if the magazine is empty, and as indicated above, in the highest position in contact with the guide rollers 7.
For this position the flaps 19 are pushed back by their springs 22 towards the inside, approaching the sliding parts 25 and their curved part 20 does not penetrate into the frame 5. The bolts 12 are located at the part
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
upper grooves (or slots 13 and at the same time at the highest point of the path 26-27-28 defined by the pusher, the tongues 29 closing the lower end of the oblique portion 26 of the latter path.
It has been assumed in Figures 1 to 3 of the drawings that there is still in the magazine the residue of a strip store of receipts where the strip is folded in a zig-zag fashion. This residue is pushed by the plate 10 in contact with the rollers 7 while the guide rollers 8 drive it, at the time of the distribution effected under the action of the movement of the .sector 2, by acting on the part of the. the strip emerging from the battery and bringing it to the mechanism of the apparatus not shown in the drawings.
When we want to introduce into the store an additional reabsorb, we raise the door 32 of the dispensing apparatus normally closing the magazine and we move the pusher 24 towards this door, that is to say to the left. Figures 1,2,4,6 and 8. At the same time the plate is brought down under the action of the oblique guides 26 of the sliding parts 25 on the bolts 12 moving in the fixed grooves or slots 13.
Before the plate 10 is lowered to the height of the curved parts 20, the sliding parts 25 come into contact with the guides 21 and consequently move the flaps 19 against the action of the springs 22 to bring them into contact. of the frame 5 by making the curved parts 20 penetrate the interior of the frame 5 through the slots 23. When the plate 10 has passed these curved parts 20, the latter engage under the remaining receipts, that is to say that they release them from the plate which alone continues its movement.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
downward movement, until it reaches its lower position at the end of the movement of the pusher to the left.
Shortly before reaching this position, the bolts 12 move apart the tabs 29 (Figures 4 and 5) and when the plate has reached the end of its travel, the tabs 29 quickly return to their normal position.
At this time, there is between the plate 10 and the remaining receipts a free space large enough to allow the introduction of an additional reserve in the store. For this purpose, use is advantageously made of a clamp consisting of a folded flat spring 33 intended to grip, as shown in FIG. 10, the additional reserve in order to introduce it into the free space provided in the store, as it has been. described, the clamp being withdrawn only from the magazine after having deposited the reserve 34 there.
To make possible a distribution of the receipts without hazards, it is necessary to connect the residue with the complement of receipts, which is done by gluing the ends opposite the two strip elements. This maneuvering is advantageously done before the introduction of the reserve complement and it is necessary to form the ends facing the strip elements in a manner allowing bonding.
Nothing will be said of the introduction of the additional reserve, of the means used for this or of the binding of the band elements to each other which do not come within the scope of the invention, apart from what was said above, to better understand the mode of use of the store.
When the additional reserve has been introduced into the store, the pusher 24 is returned in direction @
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
contrary, that is to say to the right of the figures. At this moment, the bolts 12 controlled by the tabs 29 enter on the horizontal part of the path 27 determined by the sliding parts (figures 6 and 7) and before reaching the position corresponding to the stroke end of the pusher , the sliding parts 25 releasing the guides 21, so as to allow the pivoting of the flaps 19 by the springs 22, so that their curved parts 20 coming out of the frame 5 in turn release the residue of the remaining receipts which come into contact with the newly introduced reservation.
When the pusher has reached its extreme position, the vertical parts 28 of the path determined by the slides coincide with the slots 13 and the spring 11 pushes the plate 10 upwards, so as to apply the '' the entire reserve against the guide rollers 7 (figures 8 and 9:
The gluing of the end of the remaining strip with that of the complementary strip introduced can advantageously take place when the plate 10 is at a level corresponding approximately to the thickness of this complementary strip.
To mark this position which must be located below the poiat where the release of the remaining receipts is made with respect to the plate 10, a notch 35 may be provided on the oblique path 26.
The parts 30 delimiting the interior of the path determined by the sliding parts have dimensions such that the bolts 12 hold the pusher 24, without allowing it to move, by their displacement in the vertical part of the path 26 to.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
the moment when the consumption of the stacked receipts has increased sufficiently so that there remains in the store the necessary space for the introduction of an additional reserve.
When the stored reserve approaches its end, the extension 14 of the plate 10 lifts the head 15 so that the hook 17 controlled by the linkage 16 penetrates behind a projection 36 of the sector 2 to lock the latter and prevent any @ distribution of received.
By pressing button 18 ', the sector can be unlocked momentarily to allow a single additional distribution of receipts; the lockout obtained, however, draws the attorney's attention to the need to renew the supply of receipts. When this provision is renewed, this locking device automatically moves to the rest position.
The store described allows a large supply of receipts to be used with reduced bulk, allowing easy and safe renewal of the reserve contained in the apparatus.
