"Dispositif universel de suspens! on,de fixation d'accrochage,
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

EMI4.2

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>

"Universal suspension device, hooking fixture,
EMI1.1
closing and other analqçaes functions ".
It has been requested for the benefit of the inventor a first Belgian patent n of the filing report 14500 concerning a universal device capable of being used, in all fields of the technique, in a large number of applications,
EMI1.2
where sU6 functions: pan.sion, fixing, hooking, mooring, e! I1-o bo / i) - tag 9, clutch, locking, etot are required.
A first application for an improvement patent has been filed, the particular aim of which was to extend the applications of said device and to further specify its characteristics.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates more particularly to the methods and machines recommended for the easy and economical production of said devices.
From the aforementioned patents, it follows that the device can be easily manufactured in any material and that, in general, all the manufacturing means currently known in the industry can be adopted.
However, it results from the particular forms of this device that the manufacture takes advantage of a certain origin over the known means, \ This originality emerges above all from the shape and the arrangement of the constituent parts of the two elements male and tavelle. of the device.
Indeed, for example, the introduction of the male part into the female part requires, according to a particular embodiment, a translational movement followed by a rotational movement of the male part and conversely the release of the latter will require successively a rotational movement and a translational movement.
These operations are carried out without any pressure exerted on the female part and it follows that it will suffice ,, to re a.-. liser an economical, rapid and industrial manufacture, to take account of this peculiarity, which formed one of the main characteristics of the present device.
Therefore, a rational and industrial manufacture can be easily obtained whatever the means and materials employed. -For example, the male parts; and female of the device 'to be obtained by press work and more particularly when the materials used will be: brick clay, cement, or fine concrete, fine reinforced concrete, earthenware, porcelain, common pottery, ceramics, products of the phenol and any other analog, wood pulp, cardboard paste, glass, etc.
In general, the action of the press will be of interest to obtain the homogenization of the material or a more regular structure.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
and higher density. The homogenization and consequently the total expulsion of the air, are essential especially in the case of products with fire, such for example, the elements in clay, earthenware, porcelain, common pottery etc. The same device can also be easily obtained by the casting operation. In the main order, this will deal with devices made of all metals such as cast iron, steel, aluminum, bronze, etc., as well as glass articles.
Also casting, can be applied in the case of ceramic products, such as fainece, porcelain, common pottery and other earthy compositions, also cement, plaster, etc. more particularly, in this category of articles, the casting operation will be required to obtain hollow projections or any other hollow parts of the mass, which may be prescribed for example when the resistance conditions are secondary. and the main weight issue.
The hollow article thus obtained will be produced according to the procedures generally prescribed for the slip casting of earthy products generally used in ceramics.
It is in fact known that the products, such for example judicious mixtures of kaolin, felspad, stond, fatty earth, silica, etc. are diluted in a liquid solution formed from a mixture of water of potash silicate, sodium silicate or any other similar ingredient. The casting is carried out in plaster molds affecting hollow, the shape of the object to be obtained.
The slip is poured into it, immobilized for a certain time and then poured out) an earthy film covers the wall of the mold and is then dried and demolded.
On the other hand, in order to obtain products of fiber-reinforced material, such as wood, for example, it will be preferable to shape the articles starting from an initial block. For this purpose it could be usefully used ape machines similar for example to those used for the manufaoture of hooves

These machines comprise a series of tools mounted in a symmetrical manner on the same shaft, and take the form of small spoons rotating at a very high speed.

spherical and is intended b, to follow a module of the size so that the same movements are transmitted simultaneously to each of the tools, which, each placed in front of a block of raw material, cut therein an identical profile to that followed by said control lever .
EMI4.2
These machines can be of any capacity, be Iioi) ile5, automatic or semi-automatic. It is understood, of course, that these machines could be used for the purpose of obtaining conclusions in any matter.
Finally, in general, all the other machining means can be used, such as for example the means of stamping, die-forging, milling, etc.
EMI4.3
It is easily understandable that the universal device, which is the subject of the aforementioned belles patents, could also be obtained by the judicious assembly of different
EMI4.4
duly profiled parts, so as to obtain, after ilS Jemblo.e, said device.
From the present considerations, it therefore resulted that the device can easily be obtained in any material and
EMI4.5
according to any means of manufacture.
Being given the characteristic shapes of the device, the inventor nevertheless foresees that particular components will be required in the different machines and in particular the YlJ08 tion of the pressing, which seems to be the: pl1, s important from the point of view serial work and the inportmce of using the device as a construction element.
To this end, the attached figures illustrate arrangements
EMI4.6

<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
production in series, or even to show the ease with which new machines can be designed for said production.
Figure 1 illustrates in vertical section the mold and die of a building block press.
FIG. 2 shows the device of FIG. 1 after fabrication of an element.
Figure 3 illustrates in vertical section a variant of Figure 1.
Figure 4 illustrates in perspective a second variant of Figure 1.
FIG. 5 shows in vertical section a manual device allowing the realization of the device in monolithic construction.
Figure 6 illustrates a device of Figure 5 in the withdrawn position. buivant Figure 1, it appears that the mechanism substantially comprises the following elements: the mold 1 is formed by four walls, substantially vertical, joined by a base plate come from the workshop or not with. said walls.
This bottom;?, Is provided with a central orifice 3 in which is engaged the sleeve of a second plate 4, resting on the bottom 2.
The plate 4 is inferiorly extended by a pin 5 rigidly fixed in said sleeve. The latter is characterized by the fact that it comprises a flat part 6 formed by removal of material and disposed approximately in the axis of the point of rotation of the core of the mold. This core 7 has the shape of the male part of the device and is joined to the plate 4 through the intervention of a journal 8 capable of rotating freely in bearings 9, arranged on either side of said core 7. On the other hand. hand, the mold 1 rests below on a fixed table 10 in the intervention of the upright 11 formed for example by profiles dînent established or even come from fonteavec said mold.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
The core 7 is joined to the, taole 10 by a connecting rod 1 2 complete with a pivot, on the one hand at an external point 13 of the core 7, and on the other hand to the fixed table 10, the latter c diexi being arranged substantially in the plane of symmetry of the device. The connecting rod 12 therefore passes through the fixed plate which comprises, for this purpose, a slot 14, the length of which is approximately equal to the distance separating the journal 8 from the pivot 13. Above the mold 1 is arranged a compressor pisotn 15 arranged in the known manner .
From this mechanical combination, it therefore follows that the operation of the device of the invention will easily be obtained in the following manner and apparently according to the same operating mode as required for obtaining ordinary geometric blocks.
The maule being filled in the first way, the piston 15 is lowered either under the action of a hydraulic pressure, aerodynamics, of a mechanical effect, or electro-magnetic, or any other motive force exerted on the material, filling the mold, a predetermined pressure.
When the maximum pressure has been reached, the piston rises and simultaneously the inner plate 4 is driven in a translational movement from bottom to top. As the table 10 remains stationary, the connecting rod 12 exerts a traction on the core 7, which traction is directed in the axis of this connecting rod
This results in a rotational movement of the core 7 around the journal 8, a rotational movement in harmony with the lifting movement of the inner plate 4.
The rotation of the core 7 ceases automatically when the connecting rod 12 is placed in the plane of the journal 8 and the device has been adjusted in such a way that the upward movement of the plate 4 ceases at this moment,
An elastic element, damper, may be judiciously disposed, either in the connecting rod 12, or at one to the other of the pins.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
vote of the latter, so as to prevent the slight shifts which may possibly appear between the moment of stopping of the plate 4 and the moment of stopping the rotation of the core 7.
As illustrated in Figure 2, the element thus manufactured, released from its solid core, will appear simply placed, on the plate 4 from which it can be easily released anyway.
EMI7.1
known. Uependa: at, in the opposite movements, that is to say, to replace the mold and the core, the plate 4 will be returned to its initial position by a rotational movement in the opposite direction,
which could be printed on it either by an external cam acting directly on the journal 8 and on one of the extensions of the connecting rod 12
The machine can be combined in such a way that the mold is loaded before the various members are placed so as to judiciously distribute the raw material and lead it under the prominent part or parts of the core, and the operation can thus start again indefinitely.
It follows therefore that, the peculiarities of the mold, and of the matrix, being last regulated, the manufacturing operations are substantially the same as those of ordinary bricks, hence. this results in the considerable advantage of the present device from a manufacturing point of view.
It is understandable that the particular movements of the molding elements can be achieved by a large number of other members and mechanical devices.
To this end, Figures 3 and 4 illustrate variants of Figure 1, in which the rotational movements of the core are obtained either by a device of connecting rods and levers with the intervention of a helical groove, or with the intervention of a simple combination of gears and rack.
In Figure 3 the rotational movement of the core 7 is obtained by a traction operated by the connecting rod 12, identical to that of Figure 1 and a thrust obtained by the provision of a.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
rod 16 biased by a lever 17 doin the fulcrum is located between the point of contact of this lever with the rod 16 and a pivot 18 capable of being moved following an up and down movement upon intervention a helical groove 19.
the latter is, for example, cut into the control shaft 20 of the compressor piston 13
In FIG. 4 the rotational movement of the core 7 is obtained by the combination of toothed wheels 21 capable of moving along the racks 22 judiciously arranged for this purpose.
These two devices have been illustrated and described parts-. directly in order to show the different possibilities of carrying out particular demolding movements, which can moreover be obtained by any other combination not ... possible with combinations of any organ generally employed in the art of mechanics . Also, these movements could be very simply obtained by the use of electrical or electro-mechanical means. In fact, it would suffice to have electromagnets facing the core, which, supplied in good time, would be capable of driving said core in the required movement.
FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate, by way of example, an extremely simple device, allowing the realization of the universal device in question, in monolithic construction.
This device relates particularly to elements. is placed in the formwork, in any place and in any position, where the universal device is; required. The apparatus therefore comprises an SI core, the flat face of which carries a faritdi nal journal 22 capable of rotating freely in two rings or cns sinets 23 The latter are rigidly fixed to a board 24 preferably having the same shape and the same dimensions as the boards generally used for the realization of the formwork in the contructon On the other hand the t chime 22 serves
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
support to a lever 25 there rigidly fixed by one end, tan say that the other end, outer, is profiled according to a handle, On the other hand, this handle is at a central point,
profila following a sector 26 whose amplitude is at most equal to
90
The ends of the latter are rigidly fixed to a board 27 integral with the upper part of the core 21 and arranged in the formwork planes. This board 27 is therefore movable at the same time as said core 21. Therefore, this mechanism being mounted at the same time as the shuttering, it will suffice to concrete in the known manner, taking care, preferably, to place in line with the reserved area, fine concrete, systematically excluding large stones, so as to obtain a perfectly defined element. payment, it will be necessary to strongly tamp the concrete in this place.
Therefore, in order to prevent the concrete from sticking to the core, and thus to avoid subsequent tearing, it is recommended to act on the lever 25 from bottom to top periodically depending on the cement application of the concrete, the method of concreting (under water), tamping, tamping, hard concrete, etc.
In this way, the ZI core will be actuated periodically, thus excluding any possibility of adhesion when the concrete has taken hold.
Then, to remove the formwork, it will suffice to actuate the lever 25 in the possible direction, so that the free end of the sector 26 is brought into contact with the surface of the board 24 This arrangement determines a certain predetermined rotation of the core 21 and has the latter in the retracted position, then it will suffice to remove the shuttering in the known manner.
In this case also many means are known to limit exactly 1 amplitude of the rotation of the nucleus and that which has just been described and which is illustrated in Figures 5 and 6 should only be considered as a siumple example, roubste resis
