Unheard of for junction strips for accumulator elements
The present invention relates to a mold with interchangeable elements for the production of the junction strips for accumulator elements.
This mold makes it possible, thanks above all to the interchangeability of the main plate and the engraving model, to obtain junction bars of different sizes and thicknesses and bearing, in engraving, names or brands that are also different,
The invention furthermore comprises, in combination with these essential characteristics, a few improvements in details thanks to which the machining of the mold is particularly simplified, which considerably reduces the cost price thereof.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Another very interesting feature of said mold consists in that the casting of the lead takes place via a lateral channel whereas it generally takes place at the end. such a mold is represented in substance and element to be expiated by the appended drawing in which:

<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Against this base plate is applied the engraving model g constituted by a metal plate which bears the engraving h corresponding to the name or to the mark which must come from fusion, on the bar, this engraving model varies naturally for each type of bar to obtain. Regardless of the special engraving specific to it, it is pierced with two holes i corresponding to the position of the studs !. for said bar to be obtained, these holes naturally having their correspondents among those e of the base plate c. Said model therefore masks the unused holes of said base plate.
Against the grale model to then apply the main plate j of thickness equal to that which must have the bar and whose void corresponds to the shape of the latter. Above this void k is formed the casting chimney 1 which communicates with said void k or mold proper by a narrow passage m which, on the casting, will form a thin tab which is easy to break.
A solid counter-plate fitted with a handle and which rests on the main plate j closes and completes the mold.
Towards the two ends of each of the superimposed parts which make up the mold are drilled the holes p in which are engaged the screws r which join these related parts. Preferably a mbase r1 formed on each of these screws ensures the tightening and fixing of the engraving model g and of the prince plate le i on the base plate c while these screws extend beyond this base by the part beam r1 on which the backing plate n is mounted.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
It is therefore understandable that, by changing the main plate j and the engraving .squatte- e g or rains obtain, with the greatest ease, any model of bar desired, of size and thickness desired with a special engraving for each customer , the two end pieces, integral with the handles, remaining the same in all cases.
It should be noted that the casting takes place laterally between the backing plate and the engraving model, whereas generally it takes place at the end.
It is moreover of course understood that the present description as well as the indications of the drawing, have no other aim than to specify the characteristics of the invention, and that this one is (1 susceptible of any variant es not excluding said characteristics.
