Le @ dispositif envisagé permet entre autres nombreux avantages: une production très supérieure;, du fait, d'une part de la double torsion réalisée au cours d'une même opération de moulinage,et, d'autre part,d'une augmentation de la vitesse de rotation de la broche;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
une tension constante du ou des fils à travailler par suite du travail à. la déroulée; d'obtenir la transformation directe d'une . flotte de soie grège en fil mouliné sur canettes, sup- primant ainsi les opérations de dévidage, de flottage et de canettage;

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"New grinding spindle"
The present invention relates to certain improvements made in the production of a double-twist twist spindle, of the type in which the yarn unwinds from a spool located inside the balloon formed by the rotation of this yarn. .
The device envisaged allows, among other many advantages: a much higher production ;, due, on the one hand, to the double twist carried out during the same milling operation, and, on the other hand, to an increase in the speed of rotation of the spindle;
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
a constant tension of the wire (s) to be worked as a result of the work at. the course; to obtain the direct transformation of a. fleet of raw silk in thread milled on cans, thus eliminating unwinding, floating and canning operations;
the easy and direct manufacture of mouliné linings and fancy yarns. to achieve absolute constancy between the rotation of the spindle and the winding of the yarn, thus eliminating all errors of sizing or in other words of weak twist; to offer only a minimal space if we take into account the additional production.
The invention is essentially characterized in that the whole of the control mechanism, both of the winding drum for the threaded yarn and of the yarn guide is mounted idle on the spindle, inside the balloon formed by the rotation of the yarn. , and is kept in equilibrium, either by gravity by placing its center of gravity below the axis @ of said spindle, or by an external action, electric for example, (electromagnet), n ' not impeding the circular movement of the wire forming the ballnn.
The invention relates more particularly still to a certain embodiment of a similar arrangement, in which the thread winding drum is driven mechanically by the spindle itself, with the aid of a spindle. a suitable reduction of gears, variable according to the torsion to be produced, the rotational movement of this spindle being, on the other hand, transformed.

cam with symmetrical profile n, mounted in its turn, as well as m, mad on From the stepped cone, the movement is transmitted by a sliding gear o mounted on a cage x oscillating in W and controlled by fork p and joystick with a set d 'reduction gears r, ending in a drum s and driving, by, contact, the roller, spool "Alexander",
bobbin or other t on which is wound the thread c and which is carried at the end of two arms u whose axis of oscillation is in v.
By modifying the position of the player o on the oone j, or even by changing the ratio of the gears r, it is possible to obtain, with respect to the rotation of the spindle a, any desired speed for the winding of the strand c to t.
Drug!! In turn drives by rollers 2 mounted on a rectilinear slide 5, a lever 6 with a curvilinear slide 4 oscillating at 6 and terminated by a fork 7. This in turn drives by a roller 8, a tienchon 9 which. by a lug 10, can only move parallel to itself, without turning on the shaft v, splined in 11. This sleeve 9 is extended by a hub 12 on which is mounted with gentle friction a collar 13 extended by a arm 14 terminated by the actual thread guide 15.
The reel of the winding wire t is held in place at the end of the arms u. by a spring plunger 16.
All the aforementioned assembly is enclosed inside a casing 17 suspended by ball bearings 18 at the end of the spindle a and kept motionless by gravity its center of gravity 'being: Ltttxe' its center of gravity being in- below 'the spindle axis a,

A circle 20 prevents when starting the thread to be milled passing through a barbin 21 and coming either (Hune tavelle 22 or a spool from touching the housing
17 before the centrifugal force has obtained the formation of the balloon, the profile of which can also be modified by moving the aforementioned toddler forwards or backwards 21.
Thus, from the barbin 21 to the point of winding at t, two successive twists are made in the same direction, which amounts, if this thread is developed, to two twists in the opposite direction applied to the two ends.
It can also be seen that the walking sound can easily be reversed by placing the untwisted thread inside the balloon at a t.
Finally, it is possible to directly obtain mouline linings and fancy yarns, by adding to the tavelle 22 several other tavelles or spools carrying either led wire or different yarns. at equal or unequal voltages.
You can also twist indifferently, to the right or to the left; it suffices simply to reverse the direction of rotation of the: spindle and the passage of the thread in the thread guide 15.
As goes without saying and as is already clear from the foregoing, the invention is in no way limited to the single embodiment mentioned above, nor to that of its various parts; on the contrary, it embraces all the variant embodiments applied to all types of torsion and to all wrapping systems, in particular that in which the winding drum t of the floss and the yarn guide 15 would be arranged along an axis parallel to it. spindle a.
