" Appareil frigorifique . "

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
sible que, par ce fait, le liquide dans le réservoir 4 va se vaporiser et produira lefroid.Le tuyau 5 de trop plein est précisément prévu ,pour éviter qu'une certaine quantité n d'eau vaporisée du réservoir 1 vienne. dans le réservoir 4 ;

"Refrigeration apparatus."
The present invention relates to devices intended to produce cold and more particularly to devices containing a water tank in which a gas is dissolved, for example, ammonia gas and a second tank, in which the gas, expelled by heating the gas. premisr / rxservoir is cooled and oondensed, this condensation being followed by vaporization which will produce the cold.
The main drawback of this type of apparatus consists in that after heating the two reservoirs must be re-fortified for a certain time and that during this time the apparatus cannot operate.
The refrigeration appliance, which is the subject of this
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention overcomes this drawback by having reservoirs, which cool the gas during heating and also automatically cool the heated reservoir immediately after heating.
Other characteristics of the present invention will emerge from the description below given with reference to the single figure of the accompanying drawing.
Referring to this -single figure, which gives a schematic view of the refrigeration apparatus, 1 is a tank filled with a dissolution of ammoniacal or other gas in water, 'this solutin adjoining level 2. The tank see al communicates through pipe 3 with tank 4, ,, which tank is provided with an overflow pipe 5 communicating with pipe 3 Around tank 1 is placed another tank or envelope 6 filled with water, this reservoir or casing 6 communicating via pipes 7 and 8 with a large reservoir 9, in which part of the pipe 3 is immersed.
Reservoir 6 can be placed in communication with reservoir 9 by means of taps or valves 10 and 11, provided at the ends of tu / aux 7 and 8. The tank 9 is filled with water.
Here is essentially how the apparatus works: the reservoir 76 is heated for some time, the taps or valves 10 and 11 being closed. By heating this tank '.6 the liquid in tank 1 will reach a certain temperature and the gases dissolved therein will be expelled in pipe 3 and condensed in the part of the pipe, immersed in tank 9. These gases will come in. therefore in the form of liquid in tank 4.
After a certain time the heating is stopped and the taps 10 and 11 are opened, the cold water from the reservoir will flow into the reservoir 6 and the liquid:. In the, '.' Reservoir 1 will cool, 11 is understandable.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
sible that, by this fact, the liquid in the tank 4 will vaporize and produce the cold. The overflow pipe 5 is precisely provided, to prevent a certain quantity of water vaporized from the tank 1 from coming. in tank 4;
in fact, the specific weight of the water being greater than the specific weight of the liquid formed by the condensed gas, the water will come to accumulate in the pipe 5, and when a certain quantity of this water s' is accumulated in this pipe, it is expelled in pipe 3, and comes back to tank 1.
The tank 6 can be heated by any: any heating means known to date, for example gas, electricity, and. When the tank is heated with electricity, it can be heated automatically every day for a certain time by means of a setting clock, which will be set in such a way that no electric current will pass every day. , that for a while by the electric heater. To check that this clock is working regularly, you can switch on an electric lamp which will burn while the tank is being heated.
In the case of electric heating, taps 10 and 11 can be closed automatically by means of the electric current activating an electromagnet. Which will close the taps during the time that the electric current passes through the heating elements.
It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown above, but that the latter may undergo structural modifications without thereby departing from the scope of the present invention.
