" Manchon pour arbres coudes. "

"Sleeve for elbow shafts."
The placement or rectification of worn bearings on the. Bent shafts, especially ball bearings, present difficulties due to the precise presence of the shaft bends.
The outer raceways of the balls must be in two pieces or have an exaggerated diameter in order to be able to pass over the elbows. The wear of the support bearings of the cranks as well as of the connecting rod heads is however very high in some machines, in particular mechanical threshing machines and the frequent replacement of the bearings results in a great loss of time. .
The object of the invention is to make it possible to directly thread a bearing or a cylindrical ball bearing in one piece and of the correct size on a shaft, even bent, in order to facilitate the repair work. This is achieved by constituting the bent shaft in several reotilinear parts joined by sleeves which do not join the sections in the extension of the axis.

longitudinal of one and the other but keep them for example eccentrically offset; the various sections of the shaft thus assembled constitute as many cranks.
A non-limiting exemplary embodiment of the invention is given in the appended drawing in which:
Fig.l is a plan view of a bent shaft according to the invention
Fig.2 is a section of a sleeve along the line A-A of fig.l.
The coupling sleeves 1 can be of any known type but have the characteristic of bringing together two shaft ends 2 and 3 parallel but eccentrically with respect to each other.
In the example illustrated the axis of rotation of the shaft is the common axis of the two segments 2 and 2 'carried by the support bearings 4, 4' indicated schematically and two cranks offset by 180 are formed by the single part double bent 3 which is kept offset by the sleeves 1 and 1 'symmetrically with respect to said axis common to the two segments 2, 2'.
The big end bearings are indicated at 5 and 5 '.
It is obvious that in order to replace or rectify one or more of the bearings 4 or 5, it will suffice to remove the sleeve or sleeves 1 and free the ends of the shafts 2, 3, 2 'by a translation along their axis; it will then be easy to thread each of the bearings through the end of their respective shaft.
6, 6 'indicate the bolts and nut for tightening the sleeves and 7 indicates any pins to wedge the shafts in their sleeves.
