FUSIL HAMMERLESS

l'armement des chiens ooulissants 14 du fait que sur ceux-ci viennent s'aoorooher en 17 les extrémités 18 des gachettes 19 qui ainsi retiennent les chiens en position d'armement. par cette manoeuvre du levier 7 le caisson de l'arme a pu bas- ouler et les éjecteurs fonctionner. Pour refermer l'arge il suffi ra de pousser sur le levier 7 pour dégager le verrou , remettre le canon en place et finalement ramener le levier 1 dans la position sensiblement horizontale correspondant à la fermeture de l'arme;

HAMMERLESS RIFLE
The present invention relates to a hammerless rifle or other firearm, comprising laterally a lever causing the opening of the weapon at the same time as the cocking of the hammer (s), in addition a safety arrangement, such as the suppression. of this at the time of firing, effeotue so to speak automatically when placing the fingers on the trigger (s).
The accompanying drawings will make the above discussion more apparent.
For this purpose:
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal sectional elevation in the basoule of a rifle of the species envisaged.
Fig. 2 detailed views, in elevation, plan and profile of the lever.
Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional elevation showing the plate mechanism itself and the hammer hammer.

smoothing.
Fig. 4 shows a plan section in the rocker according to AB fig. 3.
Fig. 5 shows a view similar to FIG. 3 of the seesaw and the hammer.
Fig. 6, elevation and plan views of the trigger.
Fig. 7 are elevation and profile views of the sliding hammer.
Fig. 8 shows an elevational view of the guard, the locking and cocking lever, the detents and the safety.
Referring to the above figs, the rocker is represented by I., one of the bolts by 2 and, the large bolt by, which comprises in its rear part, a socket or cavity 13 in which the roller 1.2 engages. . supported by the arms II of a fork forming the end of a lever 1 articulated at 6 on flanges or supports 5. integral with the guard 4 which fits and is fixed in the lower part of the rocker 2.
The rear part of the large rounded lock 2 comes into contact with the corresponding shapes 16 of the sliding dogs 14 comprising a guide rod such as 150 The hooking beak 17. of the hammer is, in the event of cocking, retained by the lug 18 of the gâchât 'your 19 articulated.en 20 and urged on the one hand at 21, by the detents 25 and on the other hand on the opposite branch by the springs; plates 22 fixed at 23 to the rocker 2 ..
The detents 25 articulated on the block 10 integral with the support 4, are returned in place by springs such as 24 and blocked by the safety 27 when the latter urged by the spring 28 advances towards the lever and covers. the projections 26 of said detents 25 As a result, only the intervention of the finger on the additional trigger 30 allows the oscillation of the lever 29, which then brings the safety 27 towards the rear of the arma, effa this of the notch of the guard, to let the detents act @

themselves 25 on the ends 21 of the triggers.
Considering the description above, the operation takes place as follows:
By lowering the lever 7 in the direction of the arrow a the lever 7 oscillating in 6 the roller 12 integral with the lever 7 and housed in the cavity 13 of the latch 1, drives the latch 3 to the right which, moving in the direction of the shooter, in his movement trains the parts 16, sliding hammers 14
Due to this movement of the large latch 3 it results on the one hand, an angular movement of the latch 2 owing to the fact that in a notch 36 of the latch. 3., is housed in a lug or eccentric piton 35 solid of the vertical axis of the lock 2 and which thus pushed by the worm 3 allows the release of the band hook of the lock 2 on the other hand,
the arming of the ooulissants hammers 14 due to the fact that on them come aoorooher in 17 the ends 18 of the triggers 19 which thus retain the hammers in the cocking position. by this operation of the lever 7, the weapon casing could tip over and the ejectors were able to operate. To close the blade, it will suffice to push on the lever 7 to release the lock, put the barrel back in place and finally bring the lever 1 into the substantially horizontal position corresponding to the closing of the weapon;
0 'i.e. locking by lock 2 and the large lock
When the shooter wishes to use the weapon, by placing his hand under the guard 4, one of the fingers will initially exert a slight pressure on the trigger 30 which will have the effect of bringing the safety 27 towards the shooter and thus unlock the detents 25 These detents can then act through their parts 26 on the ends 21 of the triggers which by tilting around their axis 20,
remove all contact between the parts 27 and 18 respectively of the dogs 14 and the triggers 19
In this way, a very simple hammerless rifle is produced, comprising a minimum of parts of great solidity and provided with an additional trigger. Giving the weapon maximum safety in the sense that it is only very moment of the firing that the device @

security stops acting.
It goes without saying that the mechanism described and shown can be applied to any kind of firearm and that the object of the invention is not particularly limited to the drawings which are given merely by way of illustration. explanatory.
