Abstract

A component is secured inside a rectangular compartment by a screw which also acts as a hinge for brake operation and these two parts are fixed to the steel wire in the brake cable. The brake is then mounted on the bicycle handlebar.

   Beschrijving 
Fietsrem met duimbedieningssysteem Dit idee is een uitvinding van mij om de bestaande remmen te verbeteren en moderner te maken. De bestaande versie werkt door het aantrekken van een hendel door middel van de vier vingers. Mijn versie werkt met een duwsysteem door middel van de duim. De evolutie van de rem is zo gevorderd dat er niet zo veel kracht meer nodig is om de rem te laten werken. Eén vinger, namelijk de duim, is reeds genoeg omdat deze de sterkste is. 



  Figuur 1 en 2 laat de twee onderdelen zien die nodig zijn voor één rem. 



  Het onderdeel van figuur 2 wordt in de rechthoekige kamer van figuur 1 geplaatst door middel van een schroef. Deze schroef zorgt tevens voor het scharnier van de rembediening. De gemonteerde onderdelen worden vastgekoppeld aan de stalen draad van de rem. Figuur 3 laat zien hoe de linkerrem gemonteerd staat op het stuur van de fiets. De rembedieningshendel staat korter aan de handgreep van het stuur dan die van de bestaande modellen. Deze wordt namelijk met de druk van de duim in werking gezet.

Bicycle brake with thumb control system This idea is an invention of mine to improve the existing brakes and make them more modern. The existing version works by pulling a lever through the four fingers. My version works with a push system through the thumb. The evolution of the brake is so advanced that it does not require as much force to make the brake work. One finger, namely the thumb, is enough because it is the strongest.



  Figures 1 and 2 show the two parts that are needed for one brake.



  The part of figure 2 is placed in the rectangular chamber of figure 1 by means of a screw. This screw also provides the hinge for the brake control. The mounted parts are connected to the steel wire of the brake. Figure 3 shows how the left brake is mounted on the handlebar of the bicycle. The brake control lever has a shorter handlebar grip than the existing models. This is namely triggered with the pressure of the thumb.

Mijn model heeft een moderner uitzicht. Het bestaande model bestaat reeds zolang als de fiets zelf Dus het is tijd voor verandering, ik denk dat mijn model mag gezien worden. De uitvinding is het DUIMBEDIENINGSSYSTEEM in plaats van de bestaande trekhendel. Ook de positie van mijn rem staat korter tegen het handvat van het stuur. De uit kunststof gemaakte duimbedieningsrem is handiger en voordeliger om te fabriceren. Tevens is de gebruikte kunststof recycleerbaar.  2. The thumb alone is more sensitive than the four fingers.
