Les figures 1 et 2 représentent schématiquement un premier type de machine à couper le pain, dans lequel la table d'amenée du pain est plane ;
Les figures 3 et 4 représentent schématiquement un deuxième type de machine à couper le pain, dans lequel la table d'amenée du pain est incurvée ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
2û Carcasse de la machine
21 Table d'amenée du pain
22 Table de sortie du pain
23 Partie profilée de la table 22
24 Dispositif de coupe
25 Pousse-pain

Bread cutting machine
The present invention relates to machines for slicing bread and it relates in particular to the arrangement of the bread pusher device for pushing the bread to be cut towards the cutting device.
A bread cutting machine essentially comprises a frame, a parallel multiple knife cutting device with oscillating movement, a loading table, an unloading table and a bread pusher for feeding the bread and holding it against the cutting device .
In a first type of bread cutting machine, the table for feeding the bread to the cutting device is flat, arranged horizontally or with an inclination, the movement of the bread-pushing device being rectilinear. The bread pusher is actuated, manually or by means of a motorized device, by a rotational movement around an axis. This rotational movement must be converted into a rectilinear movement by means of a linkage whose complexity varies widely depending on the model.
In another type of bread cutting machine, the bread feeding table is curved upward with a movement of the bread pusher in an arc around a axis placed above the feeding table bread. In this case, the simplicity of the movement of the bread pusher is obtained at the expense of the ease of access to the loading area of the bread to be cut. In particular, the movement of the bread pusher back to its starting position makes it difficult or even impossible to place large loaves of bread.
The invention relates to a bread cutting machine in which the movement of the bread pusher is simple and in which the placement of the bread to be cut is easy.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a bread cutting machine in which the table for feeding the bread to be cut is curved with its concavity turned towards the bottom of the machine, and in which the bread pusher is mounted on a arm arranged to be able to pivot around an axis placed below the bread feeding table. Thanks to the invention, the bread pusher is capable of a significant backward movement towards its starting position without increasing the external dimensions of the machine.

The invention will appear more clearly on reading the description which follows, made with the aid of the appended drawings.
Figures 1 and 2 schematically represent a first type of bread cutting machine, in which the bread feeding table is flat;
Figures 3 and 4 schematically show a second type of bread cutting machine, in which the bread feeding table is curved;
Figures 5 and 6 schematically show a bread cutting machine according to the invention.
The state of the art concerning the actuation mechanism of the bread loafer in bread cutting machines is illustrated diagrammatically in FIGS. 1 to 4. Referring first to FIGS. 1 and 2, we see part of a bread cutting machine in which the bread table 1 is flat. The bread pusher 2 is mounted so that it can slide along guides 3 parallel to the bread feeding table under the action of a linkage 5-6-7 arranged to convert a rotation movement of an arm of main actuation 6 in a rectilinear translational movement of the bread pusher 2 relative to the cutting device 4. FIG. 2 illustrates the end of travel of the bread pusher when it arrives near the cutting device.
The inspection of Figures 1 and 2 shows the complexity and size of the actuator linkage linkage.
In the machine shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 3 and 4, the bread feeding table 11 is curved with its concavity turned upwards. The bread outlet table 12 is flat and extends the feed table 11 beyond the cutting device 14. The bread pusher 13 is mounted on an actuating arm 15 arranged to be able to pivot around an axis 16 placed above the bread supply table 11. Figure 3 shows the bread maker 13 in its starting position at the start of its stroke; FIG. 4 shows the bread maker at the end of its travel when it comes close to the cutting device 14. A simple examination of FIG. 3 shows that the device for actuating the bread maker in this machine hinders accessibility at the loading area for the bread to be cut.
As explained above, the invention aims to overcome this lack of accessibility to the bread loading area by proposing a new type of bread cutting machine as shown diagrammatically in Figures 5 and 6. In these drawings, the signs refer to the items as follows:
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
2û Machine casing
21 Bread feed table
22 Bread outlet table
23 Profiled part of the table 22
24 Cutting device
25 Bread Pusher
26 Bread pusher operating arm
27 Arm pivot axis 26.
The bread feeding table 21 is curved with its concavity facing the bottom of the machine. The bread outlet table 22 has, behind the cutting device 24, a section 23 profiled so as to be placed in the extension of the table 21 for feeding the bread. The bread pusher 25 is mounted on an arm 26 which extends below the bread supply table 21 and is arranged to be able to pivot around an axis 27 placed below the bread supply table 21 . Figure 5 shows the bread maker in its starting position above the elevated area of the table 21 at the start of its stroke.
In this rearward position, it is clearly seen that the bread loading area is perfectly clear of any obstacle and thus perfectly accessible, contrary to the situation which exists with known machines in which the bread feeding table has its concavity to the top. When the arm 26 pivots about the axis 27 under the action of a drive device (known per se), it drives the bread maker 25 in a movement in an arc of a circle towards the cutting device 24. The Figure 6 shows the bread maker in its position at the end of its stroke when it comes close to the cutting device. It should be noted that the clearance of the loading area is obtained, according to the invention, with a
