Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to a seat plate for a rail track.
To install rails on a concrete slab, we usually use seat plates or saddles that we fix or that we seal in the slab and on which the rails are fixed by means of fixing claws.
Various embodiments of seat plates are known. In one embodiment, the seat plate has beads between which can be placed the sole of a rail or a midsole and on either side of the beads are provided grooves for receiving and retaining the heels fixing claws.
This known seat plate does not however allow an adjustment of the fixing position of the seat plate in the concrete slab. However, such an adjustment of the fixing position is advantageous from the point of view of the installation.
Indeed, it is always difficult to center very precisely the holes drilled in the slab to receive the fixing bolts, and this has the effect of affecting the perfect alignment of the rail and therefore the regular spacing of the rails making up a railway track .
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In addition, the rails wear out with the passage of convoys on a railway track and their spacing is affected. It is hardly possible with this known seat plate, to remedy such an alteration of the spacing because this known plate does not allow any adjustment of its fixing position.
Another known embodiment comprises a base plate on which is placed an upper plate intended to receive the sole of a rail or a midsole. In this embodiment, the base plate is provided in order to be able to fix the upper plate with an adjustment of the position thereof by sliding in a direction transverse to the direction of the rail which it must carry. This embodiment certainly allows the position adjustment to obtain an adequate spacing, but this embodiment is expensive.
The invention aims to remedy this gap and provides a seat plate adjustable in position, and simple and economical to manufacture.
This object is achieved by means of a base plate as defined in the claims.
The invention is set out in the following with the aid of the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a plan view of an exemplary embodiment of the seat plate according to the invention. Figure 2 shows a section along line II-II of Figure 1.
Figure 3 shows a section along line III-III of Figure 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figure 4 shows a section of the seat plate of Figure 1, on which is fixed a rail with a midsole adapter.
As shown in the drawings, the seat plate 10 according to the invention comprises a base 11 formed on its upper face with beads 12 arranged with a predetermined spacing A between them in the transverse direction (which corresponds to the longitudinal direction of a rail) so as to retain a midsole to serve as support for the rail. On the base 11 are also provided two bosses 13 having a U-shaped profile for example, to each serve as a stop for three adjacent sides of a fixing means intended to secure the rail to the seat plate 10.
The base 11, usually made of forged steel, is pierced with two holes 14 for the passage of the claw fixing bolts. The underside of the base has a recess 15 around each of the holes 14 in order to accommodate the head of a fixing bolt.
In at least two corners, the base is pierced with rounded buttonholes 16 for the passage of fixing bolts for the seat plate 10 in the underlying concrete slab. The buttonholes 16 have their large dimension oriented so that their longitudinal axis intersects the adjacent orthogonal outer edges 17 and 18 of the plate. In this way, the base plate 10 can be fixed in a longitudinal and / or angular position adjustable as a function of the centering differences of the holes drilled in the slab. This allows the adjustment of the seat plate by longitudinal sliding (transverse to the direction of the rail) and angular so as to achieve an alignment also
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
perfect as possible of the rail and therefore a separation as perfect as possible of the two rails of a railway.
When the rails are worn, the seat plate according to the invention makes it possible, thanks to the buttonholes 16, to easily readjust both the position of the seat plate transversely to the rail as well as its angular position relative to the direction of the rail. so as to restore the correct spacing of the two rails of the track.
The installation of a rail on a seat plate according to the invention is illustrated in FIG. 4. In the housing delimited by the beads 12 and the bosses 13 is placed an intermediate adapter sole 19 making it possible to adapt the width of seat at the sole width of the rail provided. The same base plate thus allows the installation of different types of rails having a sole width between 140 mm and 180 mm for example. A midsole 21 is interposed between the adapter sole 19 and the sole of the rail 20. The assembly is fixed to the seat plate by means of two fixing claws 22, the heels of which cooperate with the bosses 13 and which are held tight. against the seat plate by bolts 23. The number 24 denotes an insulation material.
The midsole 21, which allows the height adjustment of the rail, may consist of an anti-vibration cushion made of damping material of predetermined stiffness. An anti-vibration sole can also be inserted between the base of the seat plate and the base. It goes without saying that the rail can be fixed to the seat plate without the interposition of the adapter sole 19.
