Abstract
Un alliage comprenant, sur base pondérale, 13 à 15% de chrome, 3,4 à 4,2% de silicium, 1,7 à 2,3% de bore et du nickel pour le reste est coulé à 1260 degrés C dans un moule confectionné par le procédé à la cire perdue à partir de CaCO3, puis maintenu au four à 955 degrés C pendant l'heure et ensuite refroidi rapidement jusqu'à la température ambiante. La pièce coulée a une dureté relativement basse de Rc30 plus minus permettant son usinage. Après usinage, la pièce est chauffée à 650 degrés C pendant au moins 3 heures, puis refroidie et atteint ainsi une dureté de Rc45 à Rc50.
