Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT THE PRE.CAST WALL CONSTRUCTION
SYSTEM
The following statement is a full description of this invention including the best method of performing it know to me.
i I- i i ii
A^
Ob.- 1 THE PRE CAST WALL CONSTRUCTION
SYSTEM.
This invention relates to a more efficient manufacture of housing The system consists of pre cast cement walls, foam filled with hollow sections to take wires and pipes, which slide together and is held by steel unistrut channel and cross wedgers.
See FIG. i and FIG. 2. and FIG. 7.
Standard walls are manufactured in only FOUR sizes, 3.6 meters long, 1.737 meters long, 2.357 meters long, 1.116 meters long, all 2.4 meters high, and 125 millameters wide.
See FIG. 3. Special shapes can also be manufactured to change roof designs or add attics.
See FIG. 3. Type M, Type N. or FIG 4.
This allows for any FLOOR PLAN TO BE ACHEIVED. The four sizes are made in a few standard designs using standard steel framed windows and doors, leaving only plaster ceiling and skirting boards to complete the main construction.
See FIG.
S..
Corners and joines are covered with precast covers.
S See FIG. 2. and FIG. 6.
The four sizes of walls are designed to be manufactured on a S: forming line using only four size jigs.
The steel unistruct channel and doors or windows would be fitted in the jig, 25 millameter layer of cement pored in, the foam inner installed, then filled with cement and finished off to a fine finish.
Finish could also be of a colored bead type which is mixed with a resin and applied as render.
If required jigs could incorperate a patten on the lower surface to give a brick or slate like look to outer walls or inside feature walls, or even a roman style half round pillers which Scould be used on outer walls or on hallways ect.
Second story homes.
A second story can be fitted if upper floor cement slab are fitted and then wall or roof panels installed as stage one.
See FIG. 4.
SITE CONSTRUCTION.
1. Cement slab is layed in the conventual way complete with plumbing.
2. Install 6 millimeter layer of morter then erect walls using a front end loader or a crane or a fork lift, locating wall on the morter.
3. Install the bottom cross wedge first, therefore the next wall will locate correctly sliding down onto the cross wedge, when all wall and or covers are installed fit another wedge to the top of the join and drive it down to half way point, followed by a last wedge fitted to the top.
4. Joins and covers are installed using foam tape or flexable sealant to allow for expansion.
Standard roof trusts are installed by bolting them to the .*.'.unistrut channel at the top of the walls.
6. Electrical and plumbing is achieved via foam ducts within the .walls.
The only plaster required is the ceiling, achieved in the conventional way.
8. If required install the bottom skirting board in the conventional way, which could be the new plastic bus way type which allows you to move power points any where on the skirting board.

Claims (2)

  1. 4. The pre cast wall construction system comprising modular pre cast concrete walls, these feature a one piece polystyrene form core, such core features a series of evenly spaced, vertically oriented, tubular voids that are used to route pipes and wiring, additional series of holes are also incorporated in solid vertical oriented sections of the polystyrene foam between each vertically oriented tubular void which allows concrete to enter during the moulding process and bond both of the walls outer surfaces together, these walls are produced in four different lengths the first size being the largest, the next size being a half size panel which when two half size panels are correctly connected inline together their combined length would be equal to that of the large panel, the next size panel is a one 3 rd size which when three one 3 rd size panels are correctly connected inline together their combined length would be equal to that of the large panel, finally there is a two 3 rd size panel which when a two 3 rd size panel and a one 3 rd size panel are correctly connected inline together, their combined length would also be equal to that of the large panel. 2. The pre cast wall construction system of claim 1 where incorporates two vertical oriented degree angled surfaces at both ends of each panel, imbedded in the center between these angle surfaces is a U section channel which has both edges of its sides turned 180 degrees inwards to form a strong lip for a cross shaped wedge to suitably engage, this cross shaped wedge features four equally spaced webs that project from a attached center point, each of which feature a centered flange on their outer most edges, the lower ends of which feature a taper ,the wall panels can be connected together in any configuration leaving a gap for expansion between the vertical oriented 45 degree angled surfaces at both ends of each panel which are sealed with a flexible sealant or foam tape, special flat and corner sections identical to that of the panel ends are used to enclose any unused sides of a connection. 3. The pre cast wall construction system of claim 1 to 2 where incorporates the use of mortar to fix wall panels to cement slabs. 4. The pre cast wall construction system of claim 1 to 3 where in wall panels incorporate various versions of cast in-place window and door options and a U section channel which has both edges of its sides turned 180 degrees inwards to form a strong lip which is imbedded into the top of each wall panel for fixing of roof trusts.
  2. 5. The pre cast wall construction system of claim I to 4 where in a second story can be installed to this construction system by installing a cement slab to the top lower wall *panels and installing upper wall panels in the same manner as lower panels. so 6. The pre cast wall construction system of claim 1 to 5 where in can include various 00 .versions of angled raised top sections of panels to cater for difference roof designs and the surfaces of these panels can be moulded with simulated brick and stone faces, as well S: as simulated columns. oo.. 7. The pre cast wall construction system substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawing. R J MERRETT 15 NOV 2000
