This invention relates to a desert lizard feeding box, belonging to the technical field of vertebrate feeding
As people's living standards improves, more and more people tend to keep pets of diversified varieties. Reptiles are being favored by people as an emerging pet group. As the traditional feeding box can not meet the living habits of reptiles from different groups, the demand for the proper feeding boxes has increased. There are feeding boxes available for chameleons distribute in humid climate areas, but there are no feeding boxes for desert lizards distributed in areas of arid Gobi with strong ultraviolet rays, low ambient temperature and strong wind. The most of the current existing breeding boxes for desert lizards are reshaped from traditional ones, and the environment in the box cannot be properly set according to the unique habitats of desert lizards, with no measures for humidifying sand layers, the bottom layer of the box is too dry to meet the living habits of desert lizards, making the rate of both survival and reproduction of desert lizards low.
The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide a desert lizard feeding box which can humidify the bottom of the sand layer in box against the shortcomings of the prior art. The solution provided by this invention is that the desert lizard feeding box comprises a box body and a humidifying device, wherein the box body is a cuboid, and a sand layer is paved on the bottom; The humidifying device comprises a round pipe with holes uniformly distributed on pipe body set up at the bottom of the sand layer, connecting a water tank installed at the top of the box body through a pipeline.

This invention provides a desert lizard feeding box, as Figure 1 shown, it is comprised of box body 1 as in structure of cuboid, the sand layer is paved on the bottom 6, a trough 13 is installed on the sand layer at the bottom, food dish 12 and shelter 5. a transparent box door 7 is installed on the front side of the box, it is convenient to observe the living situation of the lizard inside of the box body 1, a humidification device 1a is installed at the bottom, which is comprised of six round pipes in parallel, the round pipes 18 are with holes evenly distributed on the pipe bodies, one end of the round pipe 18 is closed, the other end connects to the main pipeline 19 and the water tank 15. A ventilation window is arranged on the side of the box body, opposing to a Exhaust fan 4 installed on the other side, Above the shelter 5 on the right side of the inner box 1 a 60W incandescent lamp 3 and a 100W heater 17 are installed, the heater 17 is a ceramic heater, and a 15W ultraviolet lamp 2 is installed at the top near the rear of the box body, and the ultraviolet lamp 2 is a UVB10.0 tube. An electronic temperature display 10 and a temperature probe 11 are arranged at the front of the inner rear side of the box body 1, and the signal output end of the temperature probe 11 is connected with the signal input end of the electronic temperature display 10. On the outer wall of the rear side, a power switch 16 and a temperature adjustment control button 14 are provided for the integral feeding box power supply.
In the desert lizard breeding box of this embodiment, the main functions of the box door 7 are as follows: A. delivering desert lizard food (bread worms, crickets and locusts, etc.) and adding drinking water to the box body 1; B, cleaning the box body 1; C. replacing internal fragile parts such as bulbs. When the sand layer is dry, a proper amount of water is added into the water tank 15, and the water is diverted to six round pipes 18 through the main pipe 19 and then flows out through the holes 20 evenly distributed on the sand layer 6, so that the water is evenly distributed at the bottom of the sand layer 6 to ensure the humidity of the bottom sand layer 6, and then the desert lizard nest and air humidity are maintained at a certain level, so that the nest of desert lizard is not easily destroyed. At the same time, the surface of sand layer is dry, and it is convenient to clean the excrement of desert lizards. One side of the box body 1 is provided with a ventilation window 8, and on the opposite side there is an exhaust fan 4, which greatly promotes the flow of air in the box body 1, which has a good adjustment effect on the humidity and oxygen concentration of the air in the box body 1, meanwhile, it makes the feeding box have a temperature gradient (temperature varies from high to low from one side of the incandescent lamp 3 to where the ventilation window 8 is), which can be used by lizards to adjust the temperature independently to maintain a suitable body temperature. In addition, the ventilation window 8 and the exhaust fan 4 can be turned off when the weather is cold, so as to maintain the temperature in the box body 1.
The ultraviolet lamp tube 2 can play a good role in sterilizing and promoting the development of desert lizards. An electronic temperature display 10 is arranged on the rear side of the box body 1, and the electronic temperature display 10 faces the transparent glass, so that the temperature on the electronic temperature display 10 can be directly seen from the outside. Incandescent lamp 3 can also play a heating role besides lighting, and the control equipment of electronic temperature display 10 can control the switch of lamp according to the diurnal rhythm of desert lizard habitat. The ceramic heater 17 and temperature probe 11 in the box are also connected with the electronic temperature display 10. When the temperature in the box is too low, the control equipment of the electronic temperature display 10 can automatically turn on the heater 17 for heating, and when the temperature rises to a certain temperature, the control equipment will automatically turn it off, thus providing a more suitable temperature environment for desert lizards to eat and move. The temperature directly below the incandescent lamp 3 and the ceramic heater 17 is the highest, while the temperature near the ventilation window 8 is the lowest, which further promotes the formation of temperature gradient in the cabinet. A power switch 16 and a temperature adjusting button 14 are arranged on the back of the box body 1.
A drinking trough 12, a food dish 13 and a shelter 5 are placed on the sand layer. Semi circular PVC is used as a refuge for desert lizards, which can reduce the interference from outside and improve the survival rate.
