Chili is characterized by capsaicin which is soluble in alcohol but insoluble in water. Therefore, the hotter the chili is, the more capsaicin is present in it, so when it is used as a herbal pesticides of the present invention, the type of chili is chosen as spicy as possible.
Garlic has natural fungicidal and pesticidal properties, and is effective in controlling pests such as aphids, ants, white flies, beetles, stem borers, caterpillars, snails, etc., So, garlic can treat some of diseases caused by the insects.
Ginger has antibacterial, antifungal, insect-resistant, anti-nematodes and insect repellent properties.
Lesser galangal has the properties of banishing insects such as aphids, cabbage damaged butterflies, mite, tomato damaged flies, fly insects, etc.
Fruit of lebbek tree are salty spicy in taste, slightly tempered according to oriental medicine, and contain strong toxicity when it is not dried.
Areca is used as medicine, especially has the ability to eradicate thrips, stem borers, long beetles, leaf rollers, etc..., corn aphids, soybean aphids, armyworm, taiwania circumdata on water spinach, common cutworm on the apple tree, red spider mite on citrus.
According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention proposes herbal pesticides extracted from the solution consisting of natural ingredients in an amount from 8 to 12% by weight of chili, from 8 to 12% by weight of garlic, from 8 to 12% by weight of ginger, from 8 to 12% by weight of lesser galangal, from 2 to 5% by weight of dried fruit of lebbek tree, and from 0.5 to 3% by weight of areca and from 50 to 55% by weight of 90% alcohol solution after being soaked at least from 75 to 100 days.
