Description

PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 TANK CONTAINER AND FRAME STRUCTURE THEREOF FIELD OF THE INVENTION 5 100011 The invention relates to a tank container, in particular to a tank container with a frame structure. 10 BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 100021 Tank container for transporting liquid has now been widely used. Figure 1 shows a tank container I of the prior art, in which a tank 2 is connected with frames 3 through skirt seats 4 with two upper side beams 5 and two lower side beams 6 connected between 15 the two end frames 3. It is necessary for the tank container I of the prior art to be provided with reinforcing beams 7 between the end frames 3 and the respective lower side beams 6, and with a plurality of reinforcing beams 8 and 9 on each end frame 3, so as to ensure the rigidity of the container. 20 100031 Therefore, the frame structure of the tank container of the prior art is relatively complex with a heavy tare weight. Furthermore, when the tank container with traditional frame structure has special requirements, such as for transporting plastic grains, it is necessary to break off the bottom crossbeam of the end frame for discharging cargos from the head of the tank, so that auxiliary supports are needed to meet the strength requirement 25 for the frame, which, however, increases the complexity of the frame structure and the tare weight, too. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION 30 100041 A technical problem to be solved by the invention to provide a tank container and a frame structure thereof with good mechanical performances, simple structure and light tare weight. 100051 In order to realizing the above-mentioned objective, the invention provides a 35 tank container comprising a tank and a first end frame and a second end frame arranged at -1I- PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 the left and the right ends of the tank. The tank includes a cylinder arranged with reinforcing rings and a first head and a second head connected at two ends of the cylinder body, wherein the first end frame and the second end frame are respectively connected with the tank through a plurality of single-plates. 5 [00061 Preferably, said plurality of single-plates are respectively arranged at four corners of the first end frame and four corners of the second end frame. [00071 Preferably, the single- plates arranged at the corners of the first end frame are 10 connected to the first head and further stretched to the cylinder body; while the single-plates arranged at the corners of the second end frame are connected to the second head and further stretched to the cylinder body. 100081 Preferably, the single-plate has a bending edge. Furthermore, the single- plates 15 and the tank are connected through channel section members for transition. The channel section members are forwardly jointed to the position of the reinforcing rings of the tank. [00091 Preferably, a plurality of inclined end supports are arranged on each of the first end frame and the second end frame and connected to respective the first head and the 20 second head. The inclined end supports are disposed at four corners of each of the end frames and arranged along diagonal directions of respective the first end frame and the second end frame. Furthermore, the inclined end supports are inclined inwardly by a predetermined angle. Moreover, a complementary reinforcing plate is arranged at the connection between the inclined end support and the first head and/or at the connection 25 between the inclined end support and the second head, to avoid the fatigue problem due to sharp angles. 100101 In order to realizing the above-mentioned objective, the invention also provides a frame structure for supporting a tank of the tank container, which comprises first end 30 frame and a second end frame arranged at two ends of the tank, characterized in that a plurality of single-plates for connecting to the tank are arranged on the first frame and the second frame. 100111 Preferably, the single-plates are respectively arranged at four corners of the first 35 end frame and four corners of the second end frame. -2- PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 [00121 Preferably, the single-plate has a bending edge. And the single-plates and the tank are connected through channel section members for transition. 5 100131 Preferably, each of the first end frame and the second end frame is provided, along its diagonal directions, with four inclined end supports connected to the tank. The inclined end supports are inclined inwardly by a predetermined angle to be adapted to the tanks with various lengths and diameters. A complementary reinforcing plate is arranged at the connection of the inclined end support and the tank, to avoid the fatigue problem 10 due to sharp angles. The inclined end supports are profiled steel or thick flat bars. 100141 According to one aspect of the invention, eight single-plates with bending edges are used in this invention to connect the respective end frames with the tank, enabling better mechanical performances for the whole tank container and being suitable for 15 various stainless steel tank containers for liquid goods, pressure tank containers for liquefied gas, tank containers for powdery goods, etc. 100151 According to another aspect of the invention, the tank container of the invention can meet the demand on larger strength by combining further with the inclined end 20 support on the end frame. For instance, the tank container of the invention can be suitable to tank containers with special requirements such as those for transporting plastic grains. In the case of breaking off the bottom crossbeam of the end frame for discharging cargos from the head of the tank, the frame structure of the tank container according to the invention will not be affected by the breaking-off of the bottom crossbeam of the end 25 frame. The frame structure according to the invention can meet the strength requirement even for heavy loaded tank containers, such as those designed with a total weight of 45 tons (according to the international standard, including 40 tons of loads and 5 tons of tare weight). 30 [0016] The invention will now be described in details with the accompaniment of the drawings and preferred embodiments, which, however, will not be used as the limitation to the invention. -3- PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCIT A41 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS 100171 Fig.1 is a perspective view of a tank container of the prior art; 5 100181 Fig.2 is a schematic view of a tank container according to the invention, showing single-plates arranged at four corners of the first end frame and the second end frame and connected with the tank; 100191 Fig.3 is a left view of the tank container in Fig.2, showing four inclined end 10 supports arranged on the first end frame along diagonal directions A thereof; 100201 Fig.4 is a sectional view taken along the line B-B in Fig.3, showing the single plate and the tank being connected through a channel section member for transition, which is further connected and stretched to the position of the reinforcing ring, and the inclined 15 end support inclining inwardly by an angle D; 100211 Fig.5 is a sectional view taken along the line C-C in Fig.4, showing the channel section member in the invention; and 20 100221 Fig.6 is a view along the direction H in Fig.4, showing a complementary reinforcing plate arranged between the inclined end support and the tank. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT 25 [00231 As shown in Fig.2, the tank container 100 according to the invention includes a tank 10, and a first end frame 20 and a second end frame 30 arranged at respectively two ends of said tank 10. The tank 10 is formed by hermetically connecting a cylinder body 11 in the middle with a first head 12 and a second head 13 at two ends. Reinforcing rings 14, 30 15 are arranged around the outer surface of the tank 10, such as outside the cylinder body 11. Of course, the reinforcing rings 14, 15 can also be arranged inside the tank. In particular, the frame structure according to the invention is referred to as a "single-plates of eight claws type" frame structure. That is, the single-plates 40 are arranged on each of the four corners of each of the first end frame 20 and the second end frame 30, for 35 connecting with the tank 10. These single-plates 40 are connected to the first head 12 and -4- PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 the second head 13, respectively, and further stretched and connected to respective the two ends of the cylinder body 11, so as to support steadily the whole tank 10. Preferably, the single-plate 40 has a bending edge 41 to increase the strength of the frame structure. 5 100241 Furthermore, a plurality of inclined end supports 50 connected to the tank 10 are arranged on the first end frame 20 and the second end frame 30. As shown in Fig.3, on the first end frame 20, which is used as an example, four inclined end supports 50 are arranged along its diagonal directions A, and connected to the first head 12. These inclined end supports 50 can be of profiled steel or thick flat bars. 10 100251 As shown in Fig.4, the inclined support 50 can be further inclined inwardly by a predetermined angle D to be adapted to the tanks with different lengths and diameters, so that low requirement is put on the length tolerance of the tank. In addition, according to the invention, channel section members 16 are preferably used for transition when the 15 single-plates 40 are in connection with the cylinder body 11, especially for a thin-walled tank, which channel section members 16 are further can be stretched forwardly and jointed to the position of the reinforcing ring 14. [00261 Fig.5 shows the structure of the channel section member 16. 20 [00271 As shown in Fig.6, and in accompaniment of Fig.3, U-shaped complementary reinforcing plates 51 are preferably arranged at the connections between the inclined end supports 50 and the heads, which can avoid effectively the fatigue problem due to sharp angles and will not affect the normal welding of the inclined supports with the heads. 25 100281 The "single-plates of eight claws type" frame structure according to the invention has not only good mechanical performances but also simple structure and light tare weight. Furthermore, for tank containers with special requirements, such as the tank container requiring the breaking-off of the bottom crossbeam of the end frame for 30 transporting plastic grains, said bottom crossbeam can be broken off directly without affecting the strength requirement. Even for heavy loaded tank containers, the strength requirement can be still met. Thus, the structure has a better applicability. 100291 Although several preferred embodiments of the present invention have been 35 described, the present invention may be used with other configurations. It will be -5- PC'T/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 appreciated by those skilled in the art that, the present invention could have many other embodiments, and changes and modifications may be made thereto without departing from the invention in its broader aspects and as set forth in the following claims and equivalents thereof. 5 -6- PCT/CN2009/000026 Amendment Under PCT A41 WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: 1.
