Description

AUSTRALIA PATENTS ACT 1900 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT EASY BUILDING PANEL The following statement is a full description of the invention, including the best method of performing it known to me.
00oo This invention relates to improvement in panel devices for building and construction of dwellings and shelters for human beings and animals.
_Traditional building methods are reliant on an internal framework clad by a secondary material affixed with the use of mortar, nails, screws, and or bolts, or a primary material stablised by internal rods to provide support. This also applies to current panel systems utilizing composite internal materials (aerated polyurethane, cement and polystyrene, fibre and polystyrene). Specialist engineering skills are generally required for people t involved in erecting buildings with the process being labour intense. This also includes specialist requirements for architects and building designers in designing buildings with C inherent strengths and load bearing capacity (buildings over 1 story in height). All traditional building methods are labour intensive, time inefficient and costly.
There is are two other Standard Patent Applications, one for the Easy Glove Hinge Device, and one for the Easy Lock Down Device which can be seen as ancillary to this Standard Patent Application, but must also be seen as stand alone applications in their own right.
The Easy Panel is designed for application in all forms of domestic, rural, industrial, research facility, military facility, office accommodation, emergency housing, and low gravity environment construction applications. The design provides a building panel with inherent strength, impact resistance, and load bearing capacity while providing a lightweight construction medium incorporating insulative qualities for both temperature and noise control, and fire retardation with an aesthetic appearance. The design also allows for cutting or shaping of the Easy Panel without compromising the inherent strengths of the panel to suit building design requirements.
The Easy Panel will be constructed so as to incorporate a resilient or non-resilient internal framing structure(s) made with natural or man made materials or a combination of both (for example wood, extruded metals, laminated metals, hi-tensile plastic, poltruded fiberglass), encased in a solidified resilient or non-resilient natural or man made (or combination of both) aerated medium(s) capable of producing a hard impermeable external layer(s) to the external surfaces of the panel. The external layer(s) is capable of direct exposure to natural elements without any further topical treatment and has the capacity to be moulded in the manufacturing process to meet current and expected commercially acceptable building finishes, and also provides a medium for bonding, pressing, stamping, or otherwise coating, affixing, or cladding the external surfaces of the panel or secondary commercial cladding materials as required for construction purposes.
The internal framing structure(s) will extend to the full dimensions of the panel and be designed to provide overall structural integrity, strength and impact resistance to the panel irrespective of where the panel is cut or shaped. Dimensions and width of panels dependant on building application and engineering requirements.
In one form of the invention the Easy Panel will be in the form of a lightweight panel formation with an internal framing structure designed with load bearing characteristics, impact stabilization characteristics and incorporating utility channels for wiring and 00oO plumbing for use in internal and external walls, ceilings, and floors. The solidified aerated medium will have dense celluline characteristics which will encase the internal framing structure and provide high insulative properties in relation to temperature, sound, _and fire retardation. The external layer(s) provides a finished surface, or if required capable of accepting a secondary layer(s) of topical application or the bonding or affixing or otherwise of secondary commercial cladding materials. For construction application, the panel will be capable of being cut to meet construction requirements without compromise to the panels structural integrity or aesthetic appearance. This form of the invention can be used in conjunction with the Easy Glove Hinge and Easy Lock Down Device to form continuous free standing walls and floors or as a stand alone application.
In a second form of the invention the Easy Panel will be in the form of a lightweight panel with the internal framing structure incorporating utility channels for wiring and a secondary framing medium for impact stabilization, for use in roofing. The solidified aerated medium will have dense celluline characteristics which willencase the internal framing structures and provide high insulative properties in relation to temperature, sound, and fire retardation. The external layer(s) can either have a flat surface or be preformed in a moulding process during manufacture. This form of the invention will be able to be used in conjunction with the Easy Glove Hinge and Easy Lock Down Device to form a continuous roofing system or as a stand alone application.
In a third form of the invention the Easy Panel will be in the form of a lightweight panel with the internal framing structure incorporating weight bearing and impact resistance capacity and utility channels for wiring and plumbing services for use in flooring. The solidified aerated medium will have dense celluline characteristics which encase the internal framing structures and provide high insulative properties in relation to temperature, sound, and fire retardation. The external layer(s) can either have a flat surface or be preformed in a moulding process during manufacture. This form of the invention can be used in conjunction with the Easy Glove Hinge and Easy Lock Down Device to form a continuous flooring system or as a stand alone application.
To assist in understanding the invention, reference is now made to accompanying drawings that show five examples of the invention.
