Abstract

The apparatus includes a frame (1) having an entrance opposite an end (31) of a conveyor belt (30), at least one loading post (2) controlled by an operator, with a first pair of clamps (3, 4) for an article of clothing, and means for lifting said clamps (3, 4) until the article is transferred to a second pair of clamps (5, 6) associated with spreading out means. The spreading out means include pivoting arm (11) supporting clamps (3, 4) that is connected to a slide (12) slidably mounted on a tilted guide rail (13). Rotation driving means of arm (11) and translation driving means of slide (12) serve to move clamps (3, 4) in a combined translation and rotation trajectory.
