Abstract
The switching arrangement contains a changeover switch (1b) in the form of a contact set of a relay (15). The switching power of the first switching path a-b is to be reduced since a capacitor (2) can discharge through it. In the event of opening of the second switching path b-c, the operating path for normal operation, a power field- effect transistor (8) takes over a part of the capacitor charge, so that only a relatively small current flows through it after the dead time of the relay (15) and the closing of the first switching path (a- b). In the event of a later opening of the first switching path (a-b), the power field-effect transistor (8) starts to conduct again and holds the voltage supplying the capacitor (2) at a low level during the dead time of the relay (15), so that the first switching path (a- b) is loaded only with a limited switching voltage. This switching arrangement is suitable for the protection of phantom-circuit locking switches in the case of interaction of carrier-frequency channel converters and primary digital-signal multiplexer equipment. <IMAGE>
