Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the electrolyte of a battery from leaking by detecting the voltage of the battery to break a switch circuit in case the battery is forgotten to disconnect it when the voltage of the battery is excessively lowered so as not to further lower the voltage of the battery to thereby eliminate the battery consumption any further.
CONSTITUTION: A load circuit 2 such as a timer circuit or the like is connected through a switching circuit 4 of a transistor 8 to a battery 1. Voltage dividing resistors 5, 6 are connected across the load circuit 2 to allow a transitor 7 to detect at a point 3 the voltage of the battery 1. In case the voltage of the battery 1 is lowered, the transistor 7 breaks the transistor 8 in the switching circuit 4 to thereby disconnect the load circuit 2 and the detecting circuit 3 of the battery voltage from the battery 1. When this battery 1 is thus disconnected, it is not consumed any further to thereby prevent the electrolyte from leaking.
