Abstract

The invention concerns a sonic absorption device for acoustic correction of premises or for soundproofing of boxes designed to be arranged in front of a support wall delimiting the premises or the box. It consists of a sparsely perforated embossed sheet (1) reflecting actively acoustic waves and of a porous sound absorbing material layer (2) arranged against said plate (1) between the latter and the support wall. Advantageously, the sonic absorption device is arranged at a distance from the support wall so as to provide a gas space between the sound absorbing material layer (2) and the support wall. The invention enables to obtain uniform absorption characteristics for a whole range of audio frequencies.
