Abstract

The vehicle seat back comprises a support part suspended in a frame with two long side components extending along the back and joined by union components which are maintained stretched. To each side component corresponds a tension component connected to their two end parts. The tension component can expose the side pieces to so great a breaking strain that they bend outwards arc-fashion, with the centre part of the arc pointing forwards. A sway support is thus formed when the tension unit is activated by a regulator which varies the extent of outward bending.
