Abstract
The insulation body (2) comprises integrated reinforcement rods (3-5) passing across same to connect with adjoining structural elements. A hollow cavity (6,7) running in the longitudinal direction of the insulation body is filled at least in part with fire retardant material (6a,7a). The cavity can be wider than the insulation body. The fire retardant material can be secured in the cavity by friction or by adhesive. the cavity can be formed by a profiled strip (8,9) connected to the insulation body by its side cheeks (8a,9a).
