Abstract

In apparatus for guiding metal strips (1) over rollers (2) with roller bearings, where eccentric running of the strip is corrected by adjusting the roller axis direction and/or axially displacing the roller, two angularly movable roller bearings (5) are each pushed onto a bush (6) with an eccentric bore and the bushes are fixed onto left and right half axles (4a, 4b), one of which can be twisted. In apparatus for guiding metal strips (1) over rollers (2) with roller bearings, in the case of eccentric running of the strip, the roller axis (3a) is adjusted by a specific angle to the strip transport direction (3b) and/or the roller is axially displaced so that the strip is restored to the correct centered position. The novel features are that two angularly movable roller bearings (5) are each pushed onto a bush (6) with an eccentric bore; the bushes are fixed onto left and right half axles (4a, 4b) with right- and left-handed threads respectively; both half axles are mounted in fixed spindle nuts (7); and one of the half axles (4a) is twisted by a twisting device (8) when necessary for guiding of the strip.
