Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately roll bar steels over the entire length by performing shaping rolling of erasing the shoulder parts and width parts of the bar steel having been formed with the final rolling roll to a size slightly larger than the normal size by the specific rotatable rolls in succession.
CONSTITUTION: A rotatable roller pair 3 is disposed on the exit side of the final rolling roll pair 1 of the rolling roll group of a bar steel of circle, ellipse or polygon in shape. The rollers 3 are born by the shafts 4 perpendicular to the rolling direction of the rolls 1 and in the case of, e.g., a round bar steel, they have passes 5 on the rolling line L. The passes 5 roll the shoulder parts S and width parts A which could not have been precision rolled in the passes 6 of the rolls 1 to make the bar steel round. To this end, the rolling reduction of the rollers 3 is made 0.25 to 5.0% of the diameter, diagonal diameter or opposite side diameter of the shape to be formed in the bottom part of the passes 6 and at least 0.1mm or over. The shafts 4 move parallel as the root end part of the arms 10 on which preload for approaching the end parts 10B to themselves is applied are turned by control means 14, whereby the gap of the rollers 3 is adjusted.
