Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the camber due to the difference in the plastic deformations of upper and lower faces of material to be rolled, or due to the plastic deformation, by giving a reduction to the same face alternately with the high speed roll and the low speed roll, when a material is rolled plural times by a differential speed mill. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that the peripheral speed Va of the upper roll 2a of the differential speed mill 2 is faster than the peripheral speed Vb of the lower roll 2b, the material 6 is fed into the mill 2 from the uncoiler 1 through the roll 4 and is rolled; the rolled material is coiled by the recoiler 3 through the roll 5. Next, the uncoiler 1 is used as the recoiler, and the recoiler 3 is used as the uncoiler, and the rotation of upper and lower rolls 2a, 2b, of the mill 2 are reversed from the former direction; under these conditions, the material 6 is rolled in the reverse direction. The improvement of product quality is contrived through this reversing system for rolling the same face of material by required times alternately with the high speed roll and the low speed roll.
