Gas hydrometers.
The invention relates to a gas hydrometer in which the gas float surrounded by gas or containing the gas is carried by a liquid float in a known manner. In the new gas hydrometer, the gas float is made wholly or partially elastic, which enables a variable volume with a constant weight of the contents of the gas float. In addition, the top of the liquid container is narrowed in such a way that when the temperature of the liquid changes as a result of the resulting change in the liquid level, the rise or fall of the liquid float is counteracted, see above. that temperature fluctuations without affecting the writing device connected to the float u. like. are.
In the drawing, Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the gas hydrometer, while Fig. 2 shows a cross section along the line A-B.
The gas float 13 with a partially elastic design is located in a container 14, in which the gas to be examined comes in at the bottom and exits again at the top. The gas float is through

swimmer 15 worn. This slides in the. up to. a pipe 17 constricted liquid container 16 almost smoothly up and down. At the lower end of the rod 18 there is a weight 22 which supports upright swimming, while a display and writing device 26 is attached to the extension of the one rod 25. The entire device can be made of both metal and glass .
In the upper end of the tube 17 small glass or porcelain balls or rollers 24 are arranged by means of pins 23, which guide the float rod 18 between them almost smoothly. The point of suspension of the pen 27 is such that it rests against the paper strip 28 provided with a division with light pressure. With this suspension, the spring cannot press into the paper. The entire registration device is accommodated in a housing 29 which is hermetically sealed from the outside.
Since the gas float is partially elastic, the volume can change during operation of the gas hydrometer in accordance with the changing temperature and pressure influences, i.e. H. so the weight of the contents of the gas float remains constant. The errors that otherwise occur due to temperature and pressure fluctuations are completely compensated for and accurate measurement results are obtained, because then the ratio of the weights of gas and air always remains constant.
The narrowing of the liquid container 16 ensures that when the temperature of the liquid changes as a result of the resulting change in the liquid level, the rise or fall of the liquid float is counteracted, so that temperature fluctuations without affecting the writing device connected to the float, etc. like. are.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Gas hydrometer, in which the gas float surrounded by gas or containing the gas is carried by a liquid float, characterized in that the gas float allows a variable volume with a constant weight of the contents of the gas float due to its fully or partially elastic design.
