Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Verfahren zur Lösung von Zelluloseestern und Zelluloseäthern.
 EMI1.1

  Process for dissolving cellulose esters and cellulose ethers.
 EMI1.1

   I. Nitrocellulose dissolves with or without uelatinizing agents in the total distillation product or in individual fractions.
 EMI1.2
 Fractions over 100 in the cold. Dissolves in the heat in the fractions over 100 with the addition of methyl or ethyl alcohol.

   III. Ethyl cellulose behaves in a very similar way to acetyl cellulose.

   In this way, solvents with a wide variety of vapor densities can be combined, which is of great importance for the film industry.

   Likewise, the most diverse mixtures of cellulose esters or cellulose ethers can be dissolved together in one and the same solvent.

   The solvent according to the present invention is primarily intended to produce films with a high dielectric constant or breakdown resistance, such as those used, for example, in the construction of electrical capacitors. Of course, insulation varnishes of various compositions and drying times can also be put together.
