Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Verfahren zum Beschweren von Seiden.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 EMI2.1

 EMI2.1
 Liquid, e.g. B. by spinning in a centrifuge, a brief further treatment in a tin chloride bath of the usual concentration until the fibers are soaked. The silk is then z. B. hung up, then washed for the purpose of hydrolysis of the tin salt and finally treated with sodium phosphate to fix the stannic acid. The whole operation is expediently repeated several times. Finally, the usual after-treatment with water glass or clay and water glass can be carried out.

   Instead of treating the fiber with alkali formate solution first and then with tin chloride. you can also proceed in reverse. Since, as has been found, the adverse effects of hydrochloric acid already begin to appear during the process of soaking the silk in the tin chloride bath, it is advisable to carry out post-treatment with formate solution as soon as possible after the tin chloride impregnation.

   The zirconium weighting can be carried out under analogous observance of the same working conditions as the tin weighting.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for weighing silk, characterized in that the silk fiber easily hydrolyzing complex tin formates, for. B. by treating the silk with a concentrated solution of alkali metal in water in the presence or absence of acids, e.g. B. formic acid on the one hand and a tin salt solution on the other hand are incorporated.

Claims (1)

2. A method for weighing silk according to claim 1, characterized in that alkali salts of other organic acids are used in place of the alkali metal formates. 3. 3. A method for weighting silk according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that other metals suitable for weighting, eg. B. zircon can be used.
