   Im Stammpatent Nr. 94390 ist ein   glimm-und strahlungsfreies Hochspannungskabel beschrieben,   bei dem nach dem Aufbringen des Belages auf die Oberfläche des aktiven Isoliermittels eine Metallbandspirale aufgewickelt wird, die einen elektrisch gut leitenden Kontakt zwischen dem Belag und dem Bleimantel gewährleistet. 



   Es hat sich nun herausgestellt, dass für diese Bandspirale mit Vorteil ein Band aus organischen Bestandteilen, z. B. ein Nesselband, verwendet werden kann. Da dieses Band an sich nicht leitend ist, werden gemäss der   Erfindung leitende Metalladern   in das Band miteingefloehten. 



   Das gemäss der Erfindung ausgeführte Band bietet den Vorteil, dass es sich einerseits den Unebenheiten des Kabels gut anschmiegt, dem Eindringen des Tränkmittels wenig Widerstand entgegensetzt und trotzdem infolge der eingeflochtenen Metalladern eine gute elektrische Verbindung zwischen dem Belag und dem Bleimantel gewährleistet.
