  Verfahren zur Herabsetzung der   Verdunstungsgeschwindigkeit     leichtaüchtiger     Erdölkohlenwasserstoffe.   



   Bei   der Destilation des Erdöls,   bei der Waschung des Erdgases, bei der Spaltung schwerer Kohlenwasserstoffe und bei ähnlichen Prozessen erhält man neben anderen Produkten leicht   flüchtige   Kohlenwasserstoffe, die sich im flüssigen Zustand nur schwierig aufbewahren lassen, weil sie schnell verdampfen und durch die Undichtheiten der Aufbewahrungs-und Transportgefässe entweichen. Dadurch entstehen grosse Lager-und Transportverluste, die bei der Hochwertigkeit des Produktes schwer ins Gewicht fallen. 



   Es lag nahe, diese unangenehme Eigenschaft durch Zusatz eines Stoffes zu beseitigen, der schwer siedet und daher den Dampfdruck heruntersetzt. Bei diesbezüglichen Versuchen zeigte sich nun überraschender Weise, dass der Zusatz von hochsiedenden   Erdölkohlenwasserstoffen   und vielen anderen hochsiedenden Verbindungen nur sehr unvollkommen wirkt, offenbar, weil keine molekulare Zerteilung erfolgt, und dass man grosse Mengen verwenden muss, was den Wert der leichtflüchtigen Stoffe für viele Verwendungszwecke beträchtlich vermindert oder aufhebt. Dagegen konnten vorzügliche Resultate mit Hydrierungsprodukten, wie Hexalin, erhalten werden, die schon in ganz geringer Menge kräftig wirken und deren Gegenwart daher im Produkt in den meisten Fällen nicht stört. 



   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist also Beimengung von leicht verbrennlichen, hochsiedenden, wasserstoffreichen Verbindungen der aromatischen Reihe, z. B. Tetralin, Dekalin oder Hexalin etc., zu den leicht flüchtigen Petrolkohlenwasserstoffen, wie Gasolin, Ligroin, Petroläther usw. 



   Die genannten Verbindungen sind durchwegs gute Lösungsmittel für die leichten Petrolkohlenwasserstoffe, die Verdampfungsgeschwindigkeit der Mischungen ist daher nur gering. Anderseits wirkt ihre Gegenwart in den leichten Petrolkohlenwasserstoffen nicht störend. Wenn die leichtflüchtigen Produkte als Extraktionsmittel dienen sollen, wirken sie ebenfalls extrahierend, bei der Verbrennung im Motor verbrennen sie mit. Mischungen dieser Art sind im Gegensatz zu den reinen Erdölkohlenwasserstoffen lagerfähig und vertragen auch in der heissen Jahreszeit den Transport ohne besonderen Verlust.

   During the distillation of crude oil, the washing of natural gas, the splitting of heavy hydrocarbons and similar processes, volatile hydrocarbons are obtained alongside other products, which are difficult to store in the liquid state because they evaporate quickly and due to the leaks in the storage -and transport vessels escape. This results in large storage and transport losses, which are of great importance given the high quality of the product.



   It made sense to eliminate this unpleasant property by adding a substance that is hard to boil and therefore reduces the vapor pressure. Tests in this regard have now surprisingly shown that the addition of high-boiling petroleum hydrocarbons and many other high-boiling compounds only works very imperfectly, apparently because there is no molecular breakdown, and that large amounts have to be used, which increases the value of the volatile substances for many purposes considerably diminished or canceled. On the other hand, excellent results could be obtained with hydrogenation products, such as hexalin, which have a powerful effect even in very small amounts and whose presence in the product therefore does not interfere in most cases.



   The invention therefore relates to the addition of easily combustible, high-boiling, hydrogen-rich compounds of the aromatic series, e.g. B. tetralin, decalin or hexalin etc., to the volatile petroleum hydrocarbons such as gasoline, ligroin, petroleum ether etc.



   The compounds mentioned are all good solvents for the light petroleum hydrocarbons, so the rate of evaporation of the mixtures is only low. On the other hand, their presence in the light petroleum hydrocarbons does not interfere. If the highly volatile products are to be used as extraction agents, they also have an extracting effect, and when they are burned in the engine, they also burn. In contrast to the pure petroleum hydrocarbons, mixtures of this type can be stored and can be transported without any particular loss, even in the hot season.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Verfahren zur Herabsetzung der Verdunstungsgeschwindigkeit leichtflüchtiger Erdölkohlenwasserstoffe, wie Gasolin, Ligroin oder Petroläther, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man denselben geringe Mengen, etwa 2-4%, leichtverbrennliche, hochsiedende, wasserstoffreiche Verbindungen der aromatischen Reihe, wie Tetralin, Dekalin oder Hexalin zusetzt. **WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**.
