Verfahren zur Kenntlichmachung von Kraftwagenaufbauten, Flugzeug-, Bootskörper u. dgl. aus Metall, insbesondere aus Aluminium.
Die Verwendung gewellter oder mit erhabenen oder vertieften Flächen, dekorativ ausgestatteter Bleche für die Aussenwände von Karosserien, sowie die Verwendung emaillierter Verkleidungsplatten ist bereits bekannt. Das Wesen der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht in der Anwendung von für die Metallverzierung usw. an sich bekannten Massnahmen für die Kenntlichmachung von Karosserien, Flugzeug-, Bootskörpern u. dgl. aus Metall durch unzerstörbare Eignungszeichen usw.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung, u. zw. ein Kraftwagen mit einer aus Metall hergestellten Karosserie veranschaulicht, deren Aussenseite mit einem nach diesem Verfahren hergestellten Muster versehen ist.
Das Verfahren besteht darin, dass auf die Aussenseite der geraden oder gewölbten Metallflächen der Karosserie usw. zunächst die jeweilige Zeichnung oder das besondere Eignungszeichen, beispielsweise als Negativ mit einer säurefesten Masse aufgetragen wird, worauf die freibleibenden Stellen des Metalls mit einer sie angreifenden Flüssigkeit oder Paste geätzt, also durch Ätzen vertieft werden. Hierauf werden die so erhaltenen Vertiefungen des Metalls entweder ausgemalt oder galvanisch oder chemisch gefärbt (vergoldet od. dgl. ), so dass sich das dekorative Muster klar und deutlich abhebt.
