Smoothing Vorlichtung for self-binders or the like.

Self-ties made of silk, wool, etc. The like. Obtained after a short period of use, both by binding and by wearing, wrinkles. Often ironing out these wrinkles would damage the self-tie.

The object of the invention is a smoothing device for self-binders or the like, in which ironing is avoided. The invention consists in that preferably semicircular clamping bars, which can be adjusted parallel to one another by means of screws, so that a self-tie wound around these clamping bars, the end of which is held by a spring, is tensioned from one another by removing the clamping bars. In the drawing, the invention is shown in FIG. 1 in a front view, in FIG. 2 in longitudinal cross-section and in FIG. 3 in cross-section along the line I-I of FIG.

The device consists of two semicircular clamping bars a, b, two screws c, d, two nuts e, f and a spring i.

Both screws c, d are screwed into the clamping strip a. The parts of the screws protruding from the clamping bar a are provided with threads running in opposite directions. Flat nuts e, f, knurled around the circumference, are screwed onto the screw spindles and are offset at the top.

The holes g, h in the bar b are larger than the diameter of the spindles going through them. The spring i, which is screwed onto the tensioning strip b, can be pivoted about this screw k.

First the spring i is pivoted so that the tensioning bar b is free. You then wind the self-tie, starting with its wider end, evenly around both tension bars. One free end of the self-tie is held down by turning back the spring parallel to both tensioning bars, which prevents it from rolling back. Then you turn both nuts so that the two strips a and b are removed from each other and the self-tie is tightened.

This device can also be used for smoothing collar protectors, hair bands and. Like. Be used.
