Es ist bekannt, wenn man sich über die beläufige Grösse eines elektrischen Stromes orientieren will, in den Stromkreis eine Kontrollglühlampe einzuschalten und aus dem Helligkeitsgrade einen Schluss auf die absolute Grösse des Stromes zu ziehen. Mit freiem Auge wird auch der geübte Beobachter hiebei nur grobe Helligkeitsunterschiede an der Kontrollampe feststellen können und eine bestimmte Stromintensität nie aus dem Aufleuchten allein konstatieren können.
Das Wesentliche der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet eine einfache Hilfsvorrichtung, um das Erreichen einer bestimmten Stromstärke optisch sichtbar zu machen. Zwischen Kontrollampe und Auge ist ein Farbenfilter gelegt und vor oder hinter diesem irgendein leicht erkennbares Warnungszeichen, z. B. ein Buchstabe, Stern od. dgl. angebracht. Bis zur normalen Grösse des Betriebsstromes wird das Farbenfilter das ganze Licht absorbieren und das Warnungszeichen bleibt noch unsichtbar. Wenn jedoch der zu überprüfende Strom seine normale Grösse überschreitet, so wird dieses Warnungszeichen transparent deutlich sichtbar.
In der Zeichnung ist die Erfindung in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungsform dargestellt und zeigt die elektrische Lichtquelle mit vorgeschaltetem Farbenfilter und Warnungszeichen.
Die Beobachtung der Lampe L erfolgt durch einen Tubus T, der die von aussen kommenden Strahlen abblendet, und durch ein geeignetes Farbenfilter F, das von der Lampe L nur einen Teil der Strahlen durchlässt. Steigt der Strom, so leuchtet der Glühfaden stark auf, so dass er eine vor der Lampe oder auf ihr angebrachte Zahl, einen Buchstaben od. dgl. (Z) beleuchtet und dieses Warnungszeichen dadurch sichtbar wird.
