  Stuhl.

  Chair.

There are chairs known whose backrests have curved end strips in order to be able to use the latter for hanging up items of clothing. According to the present invention, the end strips are provided with extendable extension parts at both ends so that they form a carrier that can be adapted to the items of clothing to be hung.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a perspective front view.

To z. B. to be able to store a skirt well and in a way that maintains its shape, the upper end strip 6 of the backrest 7 is formed somewhat curved and provided with holes at the two ends. In these bores 8 handles 9 can be pushed out by means of the shafts, which either remain fixed in any position by the fact that their shafts fit tightly into the bores or can be held in the selected position by other suitable means, such as countersunk pressure screws. This makes it possible to change the lateral projection of the upper border of the chair within certain limits and to adapt it to the different shoulder widths of the skirts to be stored.
