Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Alternating current operated telegraph signal apparatus, relay or the like.

   In order to achieve a uniform tensile force on the armature despite the pulsations of the current in apparatus that are operated with alternating current, the armature is influenced by two fields shifted in phase according to the invention. Due to the phase shift of the two magnetic fields, the tensile forces are superimposed in such a way that their cumulative effect causes an almost constant tensile force. To generate this phase shift, the field of the alternating current magnet is divided into two parts in such a way that one field part pulsates in phase with the exciting alternating current. while the second field part is shifted in phase from the primary current by the arrangement of a secondary winding with its own secondary circuit.

   Another embodiment would be that the two field parts are excited by non-chained windings, the currents of which are shifted in phase by external means.

   In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in an exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1 in longitudinal section, in FIG. 2 in cross-section and in FIG. 3 in plan.

   The iron core of the magnet consists of parts 1 and 2. The primary winding: J is pushed over both parts. Over one part of the core, the secondary winding 4.5 is the armature of the magnet. The secondary winding 4 is either short-circuited directly or closed via an external circuit with self-induction and ohmic resistance to set the phase shift.

   PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Telegraph signal apparatus, relay or the like operated with alternating current, marked thereby. that the armature is influenced by two fields shifted in phase in order to achieve a uniform tensile force on the armature despite the pulsations of the current.
