   Das Stammpatent Nr. 90258 behaudelt die Reduktion von Sulfaten zu Sulfiden mit Hilfe von Kohlenwasserstoffen bei   8600 bis 10600 C.   



   Es ist   nun     erkannt worden, dass ausser Kohlenwasserstoffen auch noch   andere reduzierende Gase, z. B.   Kohlenoxyd, fnr sich   allein oder auch in Mischung mit Wasserstoff oder Kohlenwasserstoffen, die Reduktion innerhalb des angegebenen Temperaturgebietes durchzufübren vermögen. 



   Die Erweiterung gegenüber dem Stammpatent liegt darin, dass   zur Reduktion   der Sulfate
