Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Silberkarbonat. Silberhaloide. Hexamethylensilbernitrat, Hexamethylensilber- karbonat. Succinimidsilber. ammoniaklösliche Eiweiss-Silberpräparate. Siberglycocholat usw. in Betracht.
EMI1.2
1lI.

Process for the production of therapeutically effective silver preparations.
The silver preparations used in medicine occasionally cause undesirable side effects. They are more or less toxic and have irritating effects. The various previously known protein-silver preparations are also not entirely free from these unpleasant properties and are therefore subject to a limited dosage.
The present invention is based on the observation that the water-soluble alkyl derivatives of type n (CoOs) such as cellulose. Strength. Dextrin, etc. water-soluble, high-proof
EMI1.1
447974 and 468162. They give viscous solutions with cold water, which coagulate in the heat and liquefy again when it cools.
The production of the new silver preparations can, for. B. done in the way. that one is the watery
Solutions of the water-soluble alkyl derivatives of cellulose. of strength. des dextrin or the like or their conversion products or derivatives with soluble silver compounds (e.g. silver nitrate or silver lactate or the like) and then evaporated or with alcohol. Alcohol-ether etc. like. falls.
The soluble silver compounds are either water-soluble silver salts such as silver nitrate, silver lactate etc. or other water-soluble silver compounds. like the well-known protein-soluble silver preparations, gelatose silver and the like. Like. Or the silver compounds soluble in ammonia or in organic bases. like silver oxide. Silver carbonate. Silver haloids. Hexamethylene silver nitrate, hexamethylene silver carbonate. Succinimide silver. ammonia-soluble protein silver preparations. Silver glycocholate etc. into consideration.
EMI1.2
Methyl starch is dissolved in 200-300 g of water by kneading in a mortar. A solution of 15 g of silver nitrate in 45 g of water is added to this solution.
The resulting solution is brought to dryness either in vacuo or with admission of air or precipitated with alcohol or with a mixture of alcohol and ether. if desired, washed with alcohol or alcohol and ether and then dried. A brown colored solid results. which dissolves easily in water and has a silver content of 24-28%.
EMI1.3
60 parts by weight of an ethyl cellulose or ethyl starch or methyl cellulose or methyl starch soluble in cold water are dissolved in 600-1000 g of water by kneading or stirring. A solution of moist silver oxide prepared in 800-900 parts by weight of a 25% strength ammonia solution, which is made up of 55 parts by weight of silver nitrate, is added to this solution. The resulting brown, viscous solution is either dried in vacuo or with admission of air or precipitated with alcohol or an alcohol-ether mixture. washed and dried. A brown solid body results.
1lI.
25 parts by weight of an ethyl cellulose or ethyl starch which is soluble in cold water are dissolved in 450 parts by weight of water, then 15-20 parts by weight of lactic acid silver are completely dissolved
