 Geschmack dieser Substanzen, wie auch den   Salzgeschmack   des Zusatzes fast völlig   auszulöschen   bzw. den bitteren Geschmack vollständig oder zum Teil zu unterdrücken. Über die theoretische Grundlage dieser auf sinnesphysiologischem Gebiet liegenden Beobachtungen, die noch gänzlich unerforscht sind, lässt sich keinerlei Erklärung geben. 



   Beispiel 1 : Gleiche Gewichtsmengen diäthylbarbitursaures Natrium und wasserfreies Dinatriumphosphat werden in Wasser gelöst. Die Lösung hat den widerlich laugig-bitteren   Geschmack des diäthyl-   barbitursauren Natriums fast vollständig verloren und kann in dieser Form direkte Anwendung finden. 



   Beispiel 2 : Die in Beispiel 1 angewandten Komponenten werden in trockenem Zustande innig miteinander vermischt und die Mischung als solche oder nach Zusatz von etwas Stärke zu Tabletten gepresst.
