Mundstück für Atmungsgeräte.
Atmungsgeräte sind bekanntlich mit einem Mundstück versehen ; das von dem Geräteträger in den Mund genommen wird, um die Zuführung der Atmungsluft nach den Atmungsorganen sicherzustellen. Diese aus Metallblech o. dgl. hergestellten Mundstücke sind bekanntlich mit Gummi überzogen, um ihr Tragen und Festhalten im Munde leichter und angenehmer zu gestalten. Bei der zur Zeit herrschenden Knappheit an Gummi ist es wünschenswert, diesen Gummiüberzug durch einen Überzug aus anderen Stoffen mit ähnlichen Eigenschaften zu ersetzen. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun ein Mundstück für Atmungsgeräte, welche mit einem Überzuge von Zellulose versehen ist.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Mundstückes veranschaulicht. Fig. I zeigt das Mundstück in vorderer und Fig. 2 in oberer Ansicht. In der Zeichnung bezeichnet a den aus Blech oder ähnlichem Material gefertigten eigentlichen Mundstückkörper und b den Überzug aus Zellulose. Der Überzug ist so dick, dass scharfe Materialkanten des eigentlichen Mundstückes abgerundet sind ; da das Mundstück in der Hauptsache mit den Zähnen erfasst und festgehalten werden muss, ist es für die Zähne bedeutend vorteilhafter, auf elastische Zellulose zu beissen als auf hartes Blech o. dgl.

As is known, breathing devices are provided with a mouthpiece; which is placed in the mouth of the device wearer in order to ensure the supply of breathing air to the respiratory organs. These mouthpieces made of sheet metal or the like are known to be covered with rubber in order to make them easier and more comfortable to carry and hold in the mouth. Given the current shortage of rubber, it is desirable to replace this rubber cover with a cover made of other materials with similar properties. The invention now relates to a mouthpiece for breathing apparatus which is provided with a coating of cellulose.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the mouthpiece is illustrated. Fig. I shows the mouthpiece in a front and Fig. 2 in a top view. In the drawing, a denotes the actual mouthpiece body made of sheet metal or similar material and b denotes the cellulose coating. The coating is so thick that sharp material edges of the actual mouthpiece are rounded; Since the mouthpiece must mainly be gripped and held with the teeth, it is much more advantageous for the teeth to bite on elastic cellulose than on hard metal or the like.
