    Mouthpiece botagmaterta! for cigarettes.

As an accessory material for cigarette mouthpieces, only those materials have been used which were opaque, such as sheet metal, bronze paper, cork, straw or the like. Or the end of the cigarette paper tube itself was used as the mouthpiece. Cork or straw are relatively expensive as a mouthpiece material and have the same disadvantage with leaf metal and bronze paper mouthpieces that prints on the cigarette can only be applied to the sleeve and are therefore smoked when the cigarette is smoked up to the mouthpiece. In the case of cigarettes without a special mouthpiece, however, in which the imprints are applied near the lower edge, the imprints come into the mouth, which is highly unhygienic.

Bronze paper and sheet metal as mouthpieces have the disadvantage that they are easily softened, that despite the protective layers used up to now, particles of the same easily detach and get into the mouth and that it oxidizes. What has hitherto been used to avoid these inconveniences was either inadequate, so that it did not fulfill the intended purpose and made the production ring of the cigarette considerably more expensive, since it did not allow efficient application in cigarette tube machines (various protective coatings by painting and soaking Coating) or the cigarette has become unsightly due to the coating and excessively thickened at the point of the mouthpiece (paper with a layer or bronze paper).

According to the present invention, all these inconveniences are eliminated by using a transparent, water-insoluble or water-insolubilized substance, such as a cellulose product (e.g. cellite, cellophane), or glassine or parchment paper as the covering material
 EMI1.1
Use of suitable, colorless binders, while the connection of the mouthpiece, which is processed in strips or bobbins in cigarette or cigarette tube machines, is made with the cigarette paper by gluing, embossing or by interlocking.
