Method and device for the combustion of bituminous fuels with the production of
By-products.
It has already been proposed to obtain the by-products from bituminous fuels without the use of a special gasification system that causes heat losses by degassing the fuel inside the furnace itself or immediately before it in the absence of air through the combustion gases of the burning degassing residues and the gases loaded with the by-products first discharged from the furnace, cooled for the purpose of obtaining by-products, treated in a known manner and then returned to the furnace in a steady flow as possible.
The essence of the present invention is that the degassing chambers (pipes or channels) are heated from the outside by the combustion gases.
The drawing illustrates some embodiments of the invention.
FIGS. I and 2 show a furnace with a traveling grate 1. 2 are the pipes which feed the fuel from the coal feeder provided with distribution coil 3 and coal bunker 4 to the furnace; As a result of the built-in fire bridge 6, the combustion gases wash around these pipes, so that the coal is degassed. The distillation gases are sucked off by the gas suction device 6 and can be used for any purpose. Appropriately, however, after the by-products have been separated off, they are fed to the furnace in a uniform flow.
Fig. 3 shows the same arrangement with a step grate 1 '. -
According to FIGS. 4 and 5, the coal is brought onto the plan grate 1 through channels 2.
The combustion gases produced here go through the heating channels 7 and thus heat the channels carrying coal. The hot combustion gases then exit through the openings 8 into the furnace.
If there is no place in the boiler itself, the furnace can also be relocated to its own firebox, which is built in front of the boiler; she can do that too

PATENT CLAIMS: I. Process for the combustion of bituminous fuels with recovery of the by-products, in which the fuel is degassed within the furnace itself or immediately before it under exclusion of air by the combustion gases or thermal radiation and the by-products are separated from the gas, characterized in that the degassing chambers are heated from the outside by the combustion gases.
