Will man hier z. B.

gradually through the diaphragm, which consists of a layer of sand or ground quartz, and reaches the cathode compartment in which the electrical conductor with the cathode plates 7 is arranged. If you want to z. B.

If copper precipitates, these cathode plates are most advantageously made of copper, on which the copper contained in the metal salt solution is then partly or wholly deposited, while the metals still contained in the metal salt solution are deposited with it through the perforated tube 12 and tube 13 for anode cooling of the bath 14 and here the electrolyte is used to form a further metal salt solution under the action of the electric current carried over from the bath 3 to the conductor 9 of the bath 14. means removed from the pump 28 and returned through the tube 29 into the cathode compartment of one or all of the baths in order to recirculate the cycle.

If the metal salt solution obtained from the ores contains several metals, e.g. B. Copper; Nickel and cobalt, and if one wants to separate out the copper first, it is best to use copper cathodes, on which the copper is deposited, while the other metals continue with the electrolyte, the latter taking up several more such metal salts in the next baths until it does as a saturated copper-free metal salt solution passes through the regulator 17 into the collecting container 23. The exit of the electrolyte from the bath 16 through the regulator 17 is regulated when the veptile 20 is open on the basis of the specific weight of the anode and cathode electrolytes.

The introduction of the electrolysis can be done either by connecting the first bath in the circuit for the purpose of generating the necessary electrolyte, or the entire bath series can be filled with an electrolyte produced in any way, whereupon the two poles 30 and 31 are conductively connected and the Electrolysis begins.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Metallen, hauptsächlich von Kupfer, Nickel, Kobalt durch Elektrolyse, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Metallsalzlösung, die in bekannter Weise durch Einwirkung von Ammoniumsulphat oder Chlornatrium auf die, aus grob zerstückelten Erzen bestehende, die auszuscheidenden Metalle enthaltende Anode beim Durchgang des elektrischen Stromes erhalten wurde, durch ein aus Sand oder gemahlenem Quarz bestehendes Diaphragma zur Kathodenabtheilung desselben Bades geleitet wird, hier einen Theil oder ihren ganzen Metallgehalt an die Kathode abgibt und dann zur'Anoden- EMI2.1 PATENT CLAIM: Process for the extraction of metals, mainly copper, nickel, cobalt by electrolysis, characterized in that the metal salt solution, which is produced in a known manner by the action of ammonium sulphate or sodium chloride on the anode, which consists of coarsely fragmented ores and contains the metals to be precipitated, passes through the electric current, is passed through a diaphragm made of sand or ground quartz to the cathode compartment of the same bath, here it gives off part or all of its metal content to the cathode and then to the anode EMI2.1
