Das den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildende Verfahren hat den Zweck, Kraftzurichtungen, die bisher durch Papierausschnitte, durch Metallätzungen oder wie in der deutschen Patentschrift 138779 beschrieben ist, durch Abformen u. dgl. erzielt werden, gleichzeitig mit dem Kopieren des Klischees auf der Rückseite des Klischees zu erzielen.
Die Druckfläche des Klischees sowohl als auch die damit verbundene Zurichtung werden auf Grund der bekannten lichtempfindlichen Eigenschaften der Chromatgelatine erzeugt. Das Verfahren wird wie folgt ausgeführt : Ein mehr oder weniger durchsichtiges Material, wie Zellon, Zelluloid, Kaseinmassen, Papier u. dgl., wird beiderseitig mit Gelatine überzogen.
Dte eine Seite gibt die Druckfläche, die andere die Zurichtung. Um die Druckfläche gut plan herzustellen, wird eine entsprechende Menge Gelatine auf eine plan polierte Platte aufgetragen, hierauf das durchsichtige Material und auf dieses die zweite Gelatineschicht gelegt, die die Zurichtung ergeben soll. Man erhält so einen Druckstock, der aus einem auf beiden Seiten mit Gelatine überzogenen durchsichtigen Träger besteht. Die beiden Gelatineflächen werden durch Chromieren lichtempfindlich gemacht. Die Seite, die als Druckfläche dienen soll, wird durch ein Autotypie-Negativ solange belichtet, bis die Lichtstrahlen durch den Träger hindurch auch die Zurichtungsseite genügend belichtet haben. Der Autotypiepunkt verschwindet auf der Zurichtungsseite, weil die Strahlenbündel in der Tiefe des Materials sich zerstreuen.
Beim Auswaschen der Gelatine mit warmem Wasser entsteht auf der Zurichtungsseite des Klischees ein genaues, dem Bilde entsprechendes Relief, die Zurichtung des Klischees, und wegen der Zerstreuung der Strahlenbündel eine Zurichtung, die beim Drucken weieh wird. Das Klischee wird auf übliche Weise mit der Zurichtungsseite nach unten auf einem Holzfuss o. dgl. befestigt.
