  Die Herstellung und Zusammensetzung von Briketten für die Selchwaren-Industrie. 



   Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Brikette aus Holzabfällen, die als Brennstoff für Selch- öfen Verwendung finden. 



   Holzabfälle, wie Sägespäne u. dgl., werden mit Stoffen imprägniert, die beim Erhitzen Dämpfe entwickeln, die das Fleisch konservieren, z. B. Kreosot oder essigsauren Kalk. Weiters kommen gemäss der Erfindung Zusätze in Betracht, die die Rauchentwicklung   fördern.   Die Rauchentwicklung fördernde Substanzen sind solche, die das schnelle Brennen des Holzes mit voller Flamme hemmen und dadurch eine teilweise Trockendestillation der Holzmasse bewirken. 



  Derartige Mineralstoffe, die in kleinen Mengen den Holzabfällen zugegeben werden, sind : Chlorkalzium, Magnesiumchlorid, Kalziumsulphat, Natriumhydroxyd oder Kalk. 



   Die Holzabfälle, Säge-, Hobelspäne u. dgl., werden mit den im Wasser gelösten, suspendierten oder emulgierten Zusätzen gründlich gemischt, getrocknet und zu Briketts gepresst. 



  Um eine bessere Bindung der Holzabfälle und Holzbestandteileben in der Brikette zu erzielen, wird dem Gemische Alkalilauge zugesetzt.
