  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines   künstlichen   Brennstoffes aus Pflanzenstoffen. 



   Das Wesen der Erfindung beruht darauf, Pflanzen stoffe in einen Brennstoff überzuführen, dessen Kaloriengehalt den der Steinkohle   annähe, nd   erreicht oder   übertrifft   :
Als Ausgangsprodukt kommen Pflanzenstoffe, vornehmlich deren Abfallprodukte, wie Sägespäne, Holzmehl, Baumrinde, Gerberlohe, trockene Gräser,   Waldsteu,   Torf oder Abfälle der Baumwollernte in Betracht. 



   Behufs Erzeugung des Brennstoffes wird vorerst eine Lösung von beispielsweise je 5 Teilen Chlorkalk und Eisensulfat in   I00   Teilen Wasser hergestellt und soviel Kalkhydrat, Kalziumkarbonat, Kalziumsulfat oder Zement jeder Art zugesetzt, bis eine möglichst dünnflüssige mörtelartige Masse entsteht. In diese Masse weiden die Pflanzenstoffe, wie Sägespäne, Holzmehl o. dgl., unter tüchtigem Durcheinanderkneten solange eingetragen, bis sich ein zum Formen geeigneter Teig ergibt, dem vorteilhaft geringe Mengen von Teer oder Naphtaprodukten zugesetzt werden können. Die geformten Stücke werden an der Luft getocknet. 



   Wie aus obiger Beschreibung ersichtlich ist, kann der Brennstoff auf kaltem Wege hergestellt werden. 



   Bei Verbrennung dieses Brennstoffes findet anfangs infolge des Vorhandenseins von Chlorkalk und Eisensulfat eine rege Sauerstoffentwicklung statt, während bei Eintritt der Glühhitze infolge des Metallgehaltes der Sulfate sich aus dem Elementarwasser Wasserstoff entwickelt, welcher infolge Vorhandenseins von Kohlenstoff-und Sauerstoff in den Ver-   brennungs- (Oxidations-, Prozess   eintritt. Es ist einleuchtend, dass infolge der vorbeschriebenen Eigenschaften des Brennstoffes ein bedeutender Kaloriengehalt erreicht werden kann.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Verfahren zur Herstellung eines künstlichen Brennstoffes aus Pflanzenstoffen, wobei vornehmlich Sägespäne, Holzmehl, Baumrinde, Gerberlohe, trockene Gräser, Waldstreu, Torf oder Abfälle der Baumwollernte unter Kneten in das aus Kalkhydrat, Kalziumkarbonat, Kalziumsulfat oder Zementen jeder Art bestehende Bindemitel von dünnflüssiger mörtelartiger Konsistenz eingetragen werden, bis ein zum Formen geeigneter Teig entsteht, aus welchem Stücke geformt und an der Luft getrocknet werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass den Kalkverbindungen oder Zementen die dünnflüssige mörtelartige Beschaffenheit durch den Zusatz einer vorteilhaft auf kaltem Wege hergestellten Lösung von Chlorkalk und Eisensulfat und anderen löslichen Sulfaten verliehen wird.
