Mit lichtempfindlicher Emulsion überzogener Metallfilm.
Für die Zwecke der epiakopischen Projektion oder auch zur direkten Verwendung für positive Bilder ist lichtempfindliche Emulsion bereits auf Aluminium oder anderes Metall aufgetragen worden. Der Auftrag blättert und bröckelt aber leicht ab, wenn der Bildträger bei trockener Schicht gebogen wird oder wenn letztere eine leichte mechanische Verletzung erfährt. Wird dagegen auf die Metallfläche zuerst ein Gemisch von Gelatine und Kalium-oder Natriumsilicat (Wasserglas) aufgetragen und hierauf erst die lichtempfindliche Emulsion, so tritt eine vollkommene Bindung ein, die weder beim Brechen, noch beim Biegen oder Schneiden des Metalles ein ganzes oder teilweises Abblättern der Schicht aufkommen lässt.

Light-sensitive emulsion has already been applied to aluminum or other metal for the purposes of epiakopic projection or for direct use for positive images. The application peels and crumbles easily, however, if the image carrier is bent while the layer is dry or if the latter is slightly mechanically damaged. If, on the other hand, a mixture of gelatine and potassium or sodium silicate (water glass) is first applied to the metal surface and then the light-sensitive emulsion is applied, a complete bond occurs, which does not flake off completely or partially when the metal is broken, bent or cut the shift lets arise.
