Photo-mechanical printing-surfaces.-To obviate chemical action between a zinc plate and the bichromate emulsion, the plate after being cleaned and rendered free from fat is treated with a metallic salt such as aluminium chloride which has a tendency to form a double salt, and is then well washed and dried prior to the application of the sensitized coating.
