 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The present invention relates to a heater to be heated by means of steam.

The purpose of the invention is to accommodate such a furnace with a large heating surface in a very small space and to achieve the most favorable possible use of the heating surface for heating the air.

This purpose is achieved in that the furnace is formed from a number of cylindrical, ring-shaped hollow bodies, which are pushed into one another in such a way that ring-shaped spaces are formed between them, through which the air to be heated finds its way, where it heats up quickly. Each hollow body is connected on the one hand to the common steam distributor and on the other hand to a common condensation water collector to which the condensation water drain is also connected.

These ring-shaped hollow bodies can be surrounded by a sheet metal jacket that has a fan at the top and adjustable air supply openings at the bottom.
 EMI1.2
directional heating furnace shown in vertical section.

The furnace consists of a number of cylindrical, ring-shaped hollow bodies a, which stand on the steps of several radially arranged transverse walls! 'And are pushed into one another in such a way that ring-shaped channels c are created between them. The hollow bodies pushed into one another are bypassed by a jacket d which, like the steps b supporting the hollow bodies, rests on a base made of masonry or cast iron.

Each hollow body is connected by a pipe g, which passes through the jacket d, to the steam feed pipe h common to all, which has a vent valve A 'at the bottom and into which a shut-off valve i is switched on.

On the opposite side of each hollow body is a through the jacket d
 EMI1.3
flaps s from the interior or sucked in through the louvre flaps t from the outside and passes up through the annular spaces c between the hollow bodies,
 EMI1.4

Air passes through the fan either directly into the room to be heated or can be passed on through an air duct connected to the hood.

In summer, the stove can be used to ventilate the rooms in communication with it by shutting off the steam pipe.
