In der amerikanischen Patentschrift Nr. 778398 ist ferner eine Zinklegierung beschrieben, welche etwas Kupfer und Aluminium enthält neben ganz geringen Mengen Magnesium als Desoxydationsmittel.

Zink Kupfer. Aluminium und Mangan enthält, sich besonders gut für Lager, Armaturen, Zünder und dgl. eignet, sowohl wegen ihrer leichten Vergiessbarkeit und Bearbeitbarkeit, wie auch wegen ihrer günstigen mechanischen Eigenschaften.
Praktisch bewährt hat sich besonders eine Legierung. welche aus etwa 6010 Kupfer, 2% Aluminium und i Va% Mangan neben Zink besteht.
Die Mengen der Einzelbestandteile können selbstverständlich in gewissen Grenzen schwanken ; praktisch wird man nicht mehr als 4% und nicht weniger als 0'Z5% Mn zusetzen.
Kennzeichnend für die vorliegende Legierung ist, dass sie frei von Zinn ist und ausserdem geringe Mengen Mangan enthält.

In the American patent specification No. 778398 a zinc alloy is also described which contains some copper and aluminum in addition to very small amounts of magnesium as a deoxidizing agent.

Zinc copper. Contains aluminum and manganese, is particularly suitable for bearings, fittings, detonators and the like, both because of their easy castability and machinability, as well as their favorable mechanical properties.
One alloy in particular has proven itself in practice. which consists of about 6010 copper, 2% aluminum and i Va% manganese in addition to zinc.
The quantities of the individual components can of course fluctuate within certain limits; in practice, no more than 4% and no less than 0.5% Mn will be added.
A characteristic of the present alloy is that it is free from tin and also contains small amounts of manganese.
